Hi, I in a few weeks im upgrading to rear freehub (profile) realised im going to have to buy a 36 spoke rim so need some advice on whats best/strongest etc etc. scrolling through tarty saw the revell 19" rims, never seem them before and wondered what there like? anyone? got the onza hog rim in mind, a friends seem pretty tough and durable. not buying a tryall rim though a mate (gr8grumble on forum) has had about 20+ dents and a 4"crack so bad choice! any other 19" 36 spoke rims on the market which are decent? before anyone says...ive used the search couldnt find nout about the subject! I tried foam grips from halfords, bad choice for me, my hands dislicked them, under each callus i had big blisters and nasty dead skin which nailed when i tried riding, went to rubber grips way prefer them. yeh chalk, dust i use to get my hands dried up, does wax work aswell? coat a layer of wax on your grips see how it goes. yep, got luna on today, well happy with it so far but yeah im only using it for summer riding, can see it slipping on a wet wall in winter thats when to purchase a tryall. another thing luna tyres are 15£ in my lbs that saves 10£ on tryalls when they do just as good job (summer) luna tyres last ages aswell Tim.

what! if you want to find out just scratch it down with sand paper, does it flex? ive never seen forks snap/crack in that place before. go and do some hard hitting front taps, if it gets longer then its a crack. job done whas the point in sending back if your not 100% certain its a crack? Tim.

my monty eagle claw lasted 4 months, sidewalls a bit too thin though, if you run low tyre pressure then there quite pinch happy. and a friend had a echo tyre, he used for about a month, good in summer when the walls are dry but as soon as they get a bit damp there death traps. buying a luna tyre soon they seem okay, sidewalls relativly thick, quite a soft grippy compound so...
