Well after the southend ride last weekend, i was pretty hacked off. My lovely try-all 108.9 freewheel that ive had nothing but praise for has started a fast descent in performance. It is now useless at speeds over 5mph, working about 25% of the time. Which now renders it useless doing anything requiring any form of speed. There have been a few people who have said their freewheels have not lived up to the hype, braking after by no means exceptionally hard riding.I was always saying how they must have done something to it, or had a dodgy one. I have had this on for under four months and if this is its use life, im am not a happy chappy. i was coming flying down peir hill, playing silly fools with a superman impression, when simpson slowed domn in front of me, i got both feet back on the pedals, swerved away from him, and pedalled to get some speed back up......Nothing. I nearly went over the bars, got shot back onto the back wheel, my wheel are my foot, then ran it over, i proceeded to zoom down the hill going "aarrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhh my ass is on fire!" as i got a nice hole burnt in my trousers. quite funny really, but will_zooboys wasn't..... it had skipped a few times before that day, but i didn't think much of it, just thought that it was because i was going a little quick and i have a low gear ratio. Anyways, back to Will_Zooboys, It decided to go for a skip as he was doing a gap to road rail, he himself hasn't had his for very long either. it went for another skipping session when he was going for a 6 foot gap from one rail to another, totally cocked it due to the freewheel and whacked his head on the rail, splitting his helmet in two. what do you thinks wrong with all these freewheels then? i will rip mine to bits when its seriously gone, but this is really unexpected from a freewheel of this quality, and all it has had said about it. 108 eps? id rather have 8 as long as they worked. how can a try-all last for less time than an acs???? anyone else had any problems? what did you do about it? matt

Penny farthings ***! they are for those of us who are brave enough, theyre like a greased weasel on the back wheel, try all are going to bring out some pimp parts for them, 46" drilled front rims, 12 inch rears, get some decent disk forks and a custom rear disc adaptor made up, then get a set of six pot hope disks and youll be set. they are oficially the best things for gapping to front wheel, as they have so much of it! or just get a monty as thats what everyones getting these days, depends if you want a street or comp bike. matt

finally! someone who shares my views on this! why bleed your brakes with what they are not meant to be bled with, and bleed them once a month for no obvious reason? my disks on my dirt jumper are going fine on their original bleed, what was in them when they came out the shop! why do people have an uncontrollable urge to re bleed brakes every five minutes!?! im sure ill get abused for this like always but just dont do it! matt leave the brakes alone and itll be perfectly fine as long as you have it.

That now has the title of being the best looking base ive ever seen. would be well up there with other bikes if it was pink ..................... very nice, matt

wasnt it that you can ride any comp up to national with a singlespeed? now the age rule for stocks, what a loada crap that one is! if they have changed it then woo you can all point and laugh at me but if not, im still pissed off. what is the minimum age? if the age limit is 14 then oh well, i will stop moaning in april! out with the compulsory gears shiz, its just more to go wrong and ruin a good section. matt

When i read the title it actually raised a smile, made a bike related bad day better try www.trashzen.com just practice i guess, as has been mentioned, try to find a mid point, use a few correction hops just to get some balancekeep your knees and elbows a little bent,and to keep the front up if it drops, kick the pedals and roll forward a little, which will in turn lift the front end. keep practicing, matt

finally some of the pre-members are breaking away from the mob of un-intellectuals and are trying to rescue themselves! good on you man, and the others doing the same. leave them in nmc and enjoy yourselves in the members area after your validations!
