  1. yep, get the narrow versions and it'll be dandy :ermm:
  2. Tim's mighty skills of nicking wheels off a golf r32 :ermm: panda power!!!!!!!! (not even gonna disgrace this thread with my rustbucket of a montego estate :ermm: )
  3. Steve doesnt stand to gain anything, you do :ermm:
  4. I'm not sure how effective this will be, but cooling the whole lot down might help, the alloy of the crank should shrink more than the steel cog. Worth a whirl before you break out the angle grinder anyway :) EDIT: f**k me i get slower by the day :">
  5. Yeah, i know. Fine pitches arent really a problem with screwcutting, they only become a bitch when you cant actually see the things without a watchmaker's lens :) David, add me to msn if you like, and i'll do my best to help :) e.d.potts-03@student.lboro.ac.uk
  6. Thats with a die though, isnt it todge?
  7. If theyre anything like the old DDG hubs, you need to take the axle and bearings out, then go from the non-driveside with a long 12mm (I think its 12, long time since we did it) allen key. Then jump on it, hard :S Depending on how long its been in there, you might need to pop down to the local garage and get them to rattle it off with an air impact wrench.
  8. Haro is even using them for BMX duties.

    Tattoos

come off it sharn, thats just a lancashire rose with more petals :S does look very nice though :) One of my friends has a lot of tatoos, the biggest one is a Viking longship on fire, with a face rising out of the flames, coloured in as well so it must've taken a dog's age to do.
  10. RC100, and i think they were an option on the 200 too (N)" Doesnt really count though, cos barely anyone has those frames, even compared to the small trials market.
  11. oooooor, you could just shove the dimensions into a spoke calc and get the exact lengths out (Y) yes, different sizes, but not by much, flange offset and ERD has far more to do with spoke length that flange diameter (well, for cross wheels anyway, the more crosses, the less the diameter matters)
  12. Calm down Bucky, all he said is that some are more difficult than others, thats all.
  13. I dunno what your feeler gauge could possibly tell you about the pitch of a thread
  14. No, it isnt, its M5 x 0.8, metric coarse.
  15. Theyre an arse to get in this country, they stopped importing them a few months ago. If you dont get raped on tax/clearance fee then America is a good option. Speedgoat might be a good place to start looking :S
  16. Screwcutting :S Go away and read about it, its not overly difficult if you're confident with the lathe (and you must be by now if youve got it mostly finished). 2 things to note about it: 1. Take your time over setup, getting the tool at centre height and square to the work, checking the changewheels/QC gearbox are set right, check the work is running true. 2. Take your time when your cutting, small cuts avoid the tool springing, and avoid the work ending up in the scrap bin. Yeah, your teacher is right, it isnt standard GCSE stuff, but if you can do it, it should impress the examiner :P Edd :P
  17. Both the slaves and the master cylinder are the same size, so any force at the master piston will produce the same force on a slave piston. But there are two slaves, so the force is doubled.
  18. Pace rc250t, at a mighty 995 :S
  19. Keep it in your downtube, like Syntace. Plus, helium isnt explosive, you have a real job on to get it to react with anything. If you want to save more weight: Hydrogen, half the density of helium, and you'll go up like the Hindenburg if you run over a fag end :P
  20. For the same mass of gas (same volume and pressure), helium weighs one seventh the weight of air.
  21. Newtons times metres, the distance between the lever pivot and the force, and the size of the force. EDIT: sloooooooooooow :">
  22. You didnt see Adam's edit with a torque figure then did you?

Leedstrials had this problem earlier. Go read this, i think the cure is posted a bit down the page
  24. what BB rise are you having? Cos the backend is looking pretty short already: it might be a little "flip-happy"
