  1. Yeah blasted it all out with GT 85, before I did it there was a gritty noise but after seemed fine. Might try some lube in there. Works fine, but the noise is a bit disconcerting. Is the lockring normal or reverse thread Ad? Cheers.
  2. Bit of trials trivia - I got my first ever bike from Edwards Cycles, we used to know Mr Edwards... About 17 foot tall.
  3. Hmmm... Well, the bearings rattle around when its shaken and makes clunking noises every revolution (not pawls, happen with cranks spinning with the wheel). Other than that its working fine.
  4. Back in the day, I found if you didnt do a proper job on it and just left it slightly rough, you'd have a worse brake than if it was completely smooth or fully ground. So make sure you spend some time and do it properly... A belt sander could help the process.
  5. It just makes you sound like a retard if everything you write is written in text talk. No one wants 100% perfect English, but a bit of effort helps things along. Also if and when any of y'all get jobs, they won't want you sounding like an illiterate spacker on the computer to clients and that so you may as well keep up decent typing then it becomes a habit and isnt any effort at all.
  6. Fair one.. Well thats cool then, saves me a bit of hassle.
  7. You can just go chair lift hopping... Chair lift to top, ride down other side, chair lift to top, ride down other side, etc etc. You can cover pretty big distances doing this and fit loads of runs in. Some are out and out taped DH courses, some are wide, winding fire roads, and everything else in between.
  8. Yeah, trouble is the bearing could do with grease and the pawls could do with a thin oil o without taking it apart its a bit of a b*****d. Will try it if thats my only choice though
  9. Not skipping, but I ride in alot of coastal areas and the bearings sound pretty rough along with a fair bit of side to side play (lockring is tight - wouldn't move either way when we tried last, though wernt 100% whether it was reverse or not)
  10. Might have to take my freehweel apart to grease the (open) bearing and clean/check the pawls and all. So... I the lockring standard or reverse thread? Are the ball bearings in a cage or will they fall out under my fridge with the old sweetcorn? Cheers now.
  11. Popcorn at the ready....
  12. Every bit of study leave - from GCSE to Uni - I've ridden every day apart from few at the end where I crammed.

    Gmp Frames

Grossman Products is it? I remember Chai having a mod back in the day and seem to remember it fell apart.
  14. Is there a maximum/minimum attendance? Just wondering how the numbers are stacking up....
  15. Ha, West Norwood... The ghetto in which I grew up in Bike looks good, theres not any riders that I know of around those parts, but obviously just a short trip into the City
  16. Looked good... How many people entered Elite?
  17. It'd be good to see it mandatory for under 16s, but policing it would be difficult... ID'ing people out riding wouldn't work great.
  18. Fingers crossed for Kraus in da hause.
  19. Yep maggie blood is fine. As is Citroen LHM mineral oil.
  20. Yeah I'd imagine a standard 3x pattern would increase life dramatically. It was the 3x flange that snapped, but I'd have though a 3x non disk side would help share the load better and lengthen life.
  21. Got 3x on disk side, radial non disk. I bought another Rockman BUB - Light, strong enough ( a year isnt bad considering riding style/weight/time ridign within that year), fairly cheap etc.
  22. I did the same thing to my H hub up front, the disk tabs snapped off after 3 months. Then bought a Rockman BUB and it was fine for a year then the disk side flange snapped off. Its a much better hub it seems.
  23. On a mod, yeah, on a stock...They have their pros and cons and depends on peronal preference.
  24. Le sends out pad material to people now and again. I was sent some LGMs before they were available at Tartys, rode them, everyone who knew me bought them as and when they were available, then never heard back from Le. Probably because I didnt make a 'TNN engineering' video or shout about them.
