160 on a stock, on the rear??? I wouldn't go any less than a 200mm on the rear, and a 180 on the back...crazy shizz

nah 2-3'll be fine, built up my mod today, and im running a 203 on that and my stock...work perfectly

surely it should be only insured for what it costs to replace? And thats only materials and labour...so £130~ ish? correct me if im wrong though

ooh! That's an hs22, ive got a pair of tomac ( flu orange ) versions of these....beasty brakes, 16mm master piston with a longer blade to compensate, making the power comparable to an hs33. Good dependable brakes though. The silver screw is simply a tpa bodge, it pushes the master piston in, and thus the pads closer to the rim..... only meant to be used for mid-ride adjustment though Any more questions on this brake and ill try and help

Like i said, i am really ready to be involved with this project and to help out where i can... Im more than happy to document the whole riding process etc, in order to help you out... But, £70 is a new frame to me...and i just cant do it for about 1 month of riding. Can we not pay however much it costs to pass onto the next person? There's a fair few of us riding it in cornwall, so thats 3 lots of postage out..... and it only costs around £15 to ship it to another part of the country.

well, my lecturer thinks i can do it with aluminium, although i will look into steel now you've mentioned it Yeh, it will be.....interesting.. I think im going to try a dmr style brake mount ill post pics if someone doesn't know what these look like Im fairly set on making a frame if im honest, and i need to do some other work towardsmy diploma, so im happy to knock together a bash, and maybe some forks as practice for the frame Adam's steed Was thinking bb shell cut, and headtube cut as well, as i have access to plasma cutters etc....and im really willing to put lots of work into this...to make it a proper frame that i ride. Any other suggestions? Someone's already made an xc frame before me last year, and that went fine....and i reckon im pretty clued up on this sort of thing, Headtube (top and bottom) gussetts are a must i think.

Right, so here it is: for my final project in college ( 5 months or so away ) I have decided to build a bike, im going to make as much of it as i can by hand... So it'll be Frame, maybe forks, bashring and a couple of other smaller bits. So far ive decided a few things.... External headset Stock or 24 135mm rear spacing interchangable barke mounts ( maggie and vee, both removable ) Removable disc brake mount Made out of aluminium Ideally under 2.2kgs 1070ish length, 380 cs, 72ha..... stock geo has to be strong Low stand-over Original! Atomz style bolt in drop outs maybe in-built booster So...basically, any other suggestions for design, features or geo...especially frame shape, pictures of prototypes etc Horiz or vert dropouts? built in tensioner? 4 bolt? removable disc mount?# Thanks in advance, Alex oh and advice would definitely be most welcome from Forteh, Chris Hayton, and Dang!

its not that hard to strip bb threads, been done by plenty of people not by me i might add, although ive killed my fair share of 4 bolt mounts

If i have to pay £70 then im definitely out dude sorry, I'd really have liked to test this frame as well....but i cant justify the money at all
