  1. That was ace, got so much better recently! Really want to catch up with you now Edit was to my taste as well,
  2. Usually listen to some aus hip-hop when i ride trials
  3. Kenda Nevegals and small block eight come in a DTC dual tread compound. Problem is in trials we rely on the centre tread holding out at least as much as the sides so it has to be a pretty uniform tread pattern. Onza Sticky fingers were the reverse of the Kendas i think?
  4. Ill be out, be good to see you boys again

    Bb Help

Spanner under the crank, so it supports it. Clamp this into a vice. Then use an appropriately sized socket / socket extension br that rests on / in the bottom bracket axle. Heat the outside of the crank with a heat gun and proceed to twat the socket/extension out and thus the bb. Edit: Or, cut the BB axle so only a small portion is left in the crank, and instead of the spanner, support the crank on a slightly open vice.
  6. hey there, I do have a fair amount of green magura hosing if thats any good to you? I can take a picture for you tomorrow :)

  7. Definitely giving today a miss....down for Sunday though?
  8. Weather REALLY looks like shit now Anyone still heading out on Sunday to ride somewhere?
  9. If you're munching square taper shimano BB's I reckon you're doing something wrong to be honest! Maybe try an XT ( un72 ) ?
  10. Your hope / magura lever will be anodised... you'll need caustic soda or mr muscle oven cleaner mart Bike looks better with the polished stuff, still not too sure on the frame though
  11. Brilliant video, really loved that!
  12. Surely dependant on the grind rather than the rim. I have no idea why a certain im wouldn't work as well, in my experience certain rims stay working longer than others due to a harder aluminium that holds grinds better.
  13. Hey there, been off the bike for a bit so didn't edit this for ages. Not many clips in there as I was busier than i thought id be! Anyway, hope you lot like. Cheers, Alex Dark
  14. Chris kings tend to develop a lot of play in them due to their o-ring system of preloading. Happily CK now sell an after-market part designed to solve this, called the grip-lock.

I quite liked that, music I thought went really well... riding was nice and relaxed, which I prefer to a video where people are pushing themselves so far they get sketchy.
  16. My zhi is 9.4kg.... Pretty much the lightest I'm willing to go
  17. 18:12 with 165 cranks I found absurdly heavy...
  18. In response to your question, try-alls are pretty good. Will it not be a bit wide for what you want though? If youre coming off a DJ rim anyway.
  19. Chris King have a helical spline drive interface..not a ratchet. Ratchets are what typical freehubs ( hope pro2's ) and to my knowledge every freewheel.
  20. In that case I'd head over to chainreaction cycles for MTB parts. Commencal rear hub <<< click Top link there
  21. Oooh I fancy coming with Jake, ill chat to you about it Rich Ill do me best to try and get up there.
  22. Here's a video I made from the March Ride of Cligga Head in Cornwall. Ended up being a zhi video one / group ride really Riders are: James Davies, Matt Pengelly, Jake Norman and Alex Dark. First ride on the Zhi frame so wanted to get plenty of clips...loving it so far though. Music probably isnt to anyones taste! But I was watching an old Kranked and thought it sounded...different. Music is Zebrahead - Get Back As usual comments more than welcome, especially on how to improve riding and editing Cheers, Alex
