  1. So he's just lathed the top of the cup off? Looks like he might have stepped it as well actually.....How did he make those carbon wedges? Turned on the lathe?
  2. Ace, well yell if you want some filming done
  3. Yeah where is that Joe? Well up for riding that in the near future
  4. I wouldn't change anything to be honest, great spec.
  5. I just need the bollocks to go for it really....one day Thats dude haha thanks man, using "real" cousts Cheers man, hopefully coming up soon with bike
  6. It'll be one of four things: Spring not working - Could be too squashed, binding against the cylinder wall or simply not there. A crappy bleed - Especially relevant if the brake has been bled with Blood, and if its older. Swollen Piston - This happens all the time and is happily really easy to fix ( test if this is the problem by removing the piston and O-ring and seeing if it sticks when you insert it [ DONT GET IT STUCK! ] .; the piston has to be removed , then take off the oring. Grab some 320 grit wet and dry and gently spin the piston whilst sanding it to take it down slightly. Once if fits in fairly smoothly finish up with a 600 grit. Dirty or damaged piston - Often the piston and cylinder get gummed up with rubbish, some fairy liquid and a rag are all that's needed to get it sparkling. Try the above, and if you still have problems comment back in here and I'll see if i can work out what the problem is. Alex
  7. Would like to see a close up of the headset, bet youre loving having access to a lathe now, eh Ads?
  8. Exactly the same product...just bought in bulk and chucked in a different box.
  9. Aw cheers man! Haha yeh I'll do it one day
  10. Right so here's the deal.... I have an old Hope mono trial try-all edition ( the silver and red one with silver braided hose ). Unfortunately when I got it, the hose was missing some fittings at the caliper end. I do have the following: Banjo bolt, banjo , 2 m6 copper washers. The banjo has a hole with no barb sticking out of it. So what connectors do I need? The outer diameter of the hosing is 6mm. According to this link: ( clicky ) This braided hose can be used with either 5mm or 6mm fittings? Superstar offer hose fitting kits for £8 posted for both ends and both brakes, which is pretty amazing value but I'm not sure if this will fit? The connectors will fit the caliper etc but im not sure if they will accept the hosing. Chainreaction sell the 90* kit for £10 which seems ideal but im still not sure if it will fit click Tarty Adam told me I need a 6mm shroud, olive and hose insert, but im kinda confused thanks to that STW post above. Surely there must be more than one banjo size ( 5mm and 6mm ) to accept the 5 and 6mm banjos?! Tarty only sell one... Why do some banjos seem to come with a hose insert already included? Updated design maybe? Cheers to anyone that can shed some light and help me

  17. Sounds ace, I'll be there and ill try and drag the maximum amount of people possible along too
  18. Because on mods you can get away with a bracing plate underneath. Check all the older style mods ( t-pro, zona zip, echo lite ) and they all used fully cnc'd bb yokes something the Lynx sorely needs. The Koxx stock looks great, the bb yoke is beautifull engineered. Was waiting for someone to release a frame with the BB shell integrated properly into the yoke without either being fking massive and heavy or simply welded on.
  19. One 3/32nd allen key is all you need dude :|
  20. I love grammar checking Depends on your wheel size and what cranks you're running.. 18:15 is the norm on stocks, whereas 18:12 is usually used on mods so it's pretty much up to you. I have wee legs so have to use 18:16 on my stock. Just get the bike how it's set-up, try the suggested gear ratio and if you don't like it get another rear cog ( nearly definitely wont be too light for you, so you'll probably have to go a tooth bigger ). If you have any local riders have a bash on their bikes and see what the gearing feels like to you
  21. Actually found a shit load of hair inside the bearings of mine too...god knows how
  22. Put enough heat through it to fuse another metal to it and you'll probably create a HAZ ... just leave it, and tell his parents thats what happens to trials bikes!
