cracks me when you people think something that is 2 years old .... is old During the war............
-
i may feel it a bit more owing to my slightly advanced years..! But the wrists and knees are the main stress points for me. Make sure the bike is set up well so thet on a normal stance there is no stress on the wrists and arms when holding onto the bars and using the brakes. I ride motorcycle trials so just seem to get by with riding time rather than any sort of fitness regime.... even so i have had time out in the last 6 months because of a bad wrist and also my back is knackered!! Sounds poncy but stretch before you ride.. warm up and stretch the muscles before you do damage.

although i have been doing the motorcycle trials for over 37 years i started my site when i first had a go at cycle trials... r2w is short for Rock Ring Wreckers

Eurosport 2 if you have sky bonus... Michael brown is through to the final round.

put a 2.2 race king on the front of mine today.... and i spend a lot more time with my front wheel on the ground than you guys!! Seems fine, replaces a Larson i had for a week that was so high it hit under the fork! Grips well on the street stuff i played on today and is very lightweight. Obviously it will be more prone to punctures but for 13.99 delivered from chain reaction you can't go wrong!

Eurosport, now!! 8pm to 10 is live indoor worlds trials championship if anyone is interested

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3rcxn_vt...idokont_extreme what frame is that then... says Koxx on it but looks like a Vario.

Just an update.... Rob has added Echo cranks, Adamant rock ring and Echo external BB. But we have a sneaky feeling he has gone colour blind!!
-
Looks nice... but for me a colour and then bare ally remind me of cheapo bikes. They look ok for a bit but once the polished ally has got scratched and tarnished it looks crap! I reckon it would look great with the black as it is but the bare aluminium white.... and that black version from walker looks brilliant.

Boosted Problems - Help Please - Not Noob Problem

may be worth looking at the 2 bolt boosters like the Echo on Here ... may be a little less height to them. Tarty have put the measurements on there for you to check -
I have just gone back to Echo flats with a bit of a forward twist as they are the only bars i have tried that feel good with my knackered wrist... but i rode a Koxx boxx with much the same stem and set-up as my bike the other day that had Tryall Rage risers on and they were lovely... but 55 quid just to be trendy, not yet!!

Slightly different view... a friend of mine makes and sells thumb brakes for racing motorcycles but he has been contacted by a group in the USA who think it is a good idea for people that only have the use of the thumb because of injuries or whatever... obviously a bit heavy duty for cycles but the idea can be scaled down to suit. Anyway i have just started doing a simple web site for him and it has some images if it helps at all... link below Hudson Performance

sales of goods act is on your side... even if they had been what you wanted you can cancel and get your money back, so being wrongly supplied is a big no no. See here for advice and also how to deal correctly with it... http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/

Rob had his bike at my place this evening so i took a slightly clearer picture of it... now has a Hope XC hub on the rear and he has taken a spray can to the blue maggie and thankfully done it black He still needs more height on the front i think but as his steerer tube was cut down too far it will have to wait for some new forks, then he can try a slightly more kicked up stem or some stackers. (the steerer is so short that even with this stem it only has about a half of the thing clamped!!)

What he said... John has recently sorted out some new distribution and promotion details so you may find it easier.

My copy of the Trial Magazine came today... another good article about you mate. And the centre page poster is Jack doing the 360 flip off the wall edge.. nutter!! for added ambience here is one i took of jack at Hook Woods!! The Trial Magazine can be a bit harder to find than MBUK, have a look in independant newsagents and garages or try the website to contact them.. Trial Magazine p.s. be a bit careful with reproducing magazine articles without permission, you may find it gets expensive!! I am in contact with John who owns Trial Mag and it wouldn't be looked on kindly if the article or images were to appear. Look at it their way, why try and sell a magazine if someone goes and copies it all online for free. It's not as though it doesn't cost him anything to produce and distribute the magazine!!.. in fact it costs a small fortune.

Rock pads... blue ones.

I believe he is featured in the new issue of Trial magazine that should be around about now as well. Test of the Atomz and Kamel in there as well http://www.trialmag.net/trialmag/couv

so it's not just me and old age then!!! I have had a real pain in my left wrist for over 2 months now... it started when i used some carbon riser bars for a couple of days and i can only assume that because of the carbon they don't flex at all and therefore my wrists took all the vibrations and hits. But it could have been poor lever, bar position and possibly too thick grips. I have been to the doctors 3 times about it now and all they say is rest and ibuprofen will sort it out... even if it was cracked or split they say the don't really do much to them these days other than put on a wrist brace. But over 2 months later it is still much the same. I have now changed the stem and have new bars, and tipped them forward a bit to get a nice comfortable wrist position and i have changed grips to much thinner ones... also Ryan Pekala suggested after riding my bike that i had the rear brake lever adjusted too far out and my fingers were stretched using it for back hops etc. I have un-adjusted the rear brake and i have to admit that these changes make riding far more comfortable... but not painless. My guess is that only time will allow it to heel again but i get bored shitless if i can't get out on the Adamant or my Beta for more than 3 days!! To ride i chuck a few ibuprofen in the gob and use 2 of those stretchy wrist supports.... gives me 3 hours before the pain kicks in too much again I did try using one of those power ball thingy's but it made it hurt more so stopped that!... lifting a bottle of stella seems to be ok though

Nice blue maggie lever assembly... really fits in with the colour scheme Rob ... told you, i have some black spray paint in the garage!
-
Until Rob posted this i had no idea on the weight of my Ebay special Adamant A2.... As it stands it is 11.1kg's ... but who the hell cares, as long as your having fun what is a kilo or so between friends, and with good but slightly heavier parts it may withstand my crap riding for longer!!!

cool... just checking, noticed the ashton site was updated on that page today

Just in case it hadn't been spotted earlier http://www.ashtonbikes.com/team/ali-clarks...n-video-6-2008/
