took head off today an it all looks fine but it going for pressure/crack testing and skimming tommorow. also got some piston rings and shells to put in this weekend. that one off 888 astra van has just been sold to guy on astrasport.co.uk who lives in edinburgh heres some more pics of it

imo after having riden 3 ashton frames over a few years the most recent one is just about perfect. my only concearn is lack of strengthening around seat stay/brake mount, as brake feels flexy without a booster. i love my red 06 and dont ever want to let it go.

gotta love the old shape focus with a 2.0 zetec. theres plentya bout now and if you get a ghia you have air con abs leathers electric everything. very very nice to drive i could happily drive t all day long and never get bored of driving or pissed of with any problems. ane even if you get parts any mechanic who knows what an engine is would be able to fix it no problems still wont keep up with my van though

managed to waste £10 on fuel. saw a few lads i know that juts bought a G reg 318 so we were having a right laugh drifting round an old industial estate. made it even more fun by soaking one corner with a random hose pipe we found hahaha the went out cruising saw some guy getting shite beaten outta him outside a kebab shop then heading home decided to go for a blast along shipley glen. nicly going along around 90mph and went straight past a police car he pulled me about a mile down the road after follpwing me and checking all my details. stopped me just as my clock turned to 0:00 hahaha and said you were going a bit quick but all your details are in order see you later. was crapping my self all in all was a great night.

not partying tonite, id rather use my money of fuel than booze. ill be cruising the streets in my van looking for hot chicks and in the early hours start making money giving friends lifts home form party's. y'all know ive got the right ideas.

c2?be prepared for a new wiring loom when yours feck itself up, major problem with so many of em. make sure you careful if your wiring anything up.

i reckon waynios van woudl have you chris hes got a coilover kit so kinda helps handling better than my std susp, with just lowering springs. im sure you will let us all know how ur 'ring trip goes. new top speed: 140mph (approx as clocks aint too accurate)

most people should turn up around 11 as i think waynio will bring a few people in his van an meet lovvat on the way. 11ish

yeah it is the final drive ratio that determins the top speed, the 300bhp just help it get there unbelievably fast.

havent spun it yet ( ) it seems to handle pretty well to say how light the back end is and that its on a solid beam rear axle. just 'raced' a megane coupe 2.0 16v and stayed alongside him from 30 to 135ish pretty chuffed bucky x

114 bhp/per 1000kgs vs 125 bhp/per 1000kgs my f23 gearbox has a very long 4th and 5th gear as its designed for us with 2.0+ diesel engines. when i get my power steering sorted i'd like to see how well mine really handles by having a go on a track somewhere. i hope that could improve my road driving skills too. ie make me more aware etc.

yeah this is MY topic about My van lmao yeah since i got topepd the van out i havent really bothered doing stupid speeds. on most of the bypass round here i get upto 65/70mph as fast as i can and stick there. i dont liek going as fast as possible, but i do love the feeling of acceleration. now to some of you guys 150bhp might not sound liek a lot but it certainly keeps me happy. no idea how many miles ive done but ive used 2 tanks since wednesday night. so far to ive beaten a 2.0 16v mk4 astra sri, a pug 307 hdi(with gay ralli-art stickers lol) a saxo vtr, and sat on the arse of a bmw 330diesel(?poss?) from around 60mph to 130mph then crapped it and backed off. cheers bucky ps heres waynios van:
