  7. cheers boys ill keep up practicing and use the tips you have given me you see a while ago i commented that i wanted to bunny hop to manual onto a wall and at the end (still in a manual) 360 with a crankflip off.....well i can manual well and crank flip half the time its just the spin that i cant do. so ye ill practice that bit and hopefully ill have a video one day of that trick thanks again ARW
  8. HI i just went and had a quick search (10 seconds- im on my break) but couldnt find anything on how to do spins, im talking about the kind of bunnyhop spins as done amazingly well by phil feeney and bmx'ers etc (spins that involve both wheels off the floor basically). ive been told by some people that turning your head helps as your body will follow but it dont seem to help me too much. just any little tips that may help? and i know that practice helps so thats a tip i dont need telling lol cheers ARW

    Leeds Ride Video

i agree with joe up there ^ easy on the sidehops boys. sidehops are the most boring things to watch ever, a few would be ok but not just a vid of sidehops. you can sidehop better than me though ARW
  10. "lazy retard"......lazy-yes.....retard-no ok i apologise for not checking every single memebers signature or profile, every single post on the "little wheels thread" GIVE ME A BREAK!!! a could not be ringed to sit at my comp all night checking to see if someone has posted it before, i only come on here at lunch at work so i get 30 mins, and most of that is eating time (tonight is an exception as i wanted to check this post) "utterly pointless"...so if you see it as a waste of time then sorry but in my eyes ive had a few good comments on this vid and one lad thanked me for putting it up, so it was worth it to me. enjoy the vids if you havent seem them before, dont bother posting if you have seen it before and want to moan sorry for once again not reading all members sigs and profile etc and downloading every single bmx vid in that thread in my half an hour lunch. im going to cut my leg off cos im so upset with myself ARW
  11. sorry i know there is a little wheels thread but as it is millions of pages long, i know for one that i can never be bothered going through all pages to find a decent vid. o and sorry if they have already been posted (delete me if you wish mods.....after watching the vids ) well these two vids are of two street riders cory martinez and steven hamilton after watching a few vids in the bmx thread i thought they were amazing but these guys seem something else, just thought some of you would enjoy it first off, my personal favourite, cory martinez yourdailymedia.com - cory martinez secondly also sweet as...steven hamiltonyourdailymedia.com - steven hamilton sorry if i annoy anyone but....you cant please everyone feel free to comment ARW
  12. hi, first off i believe for a rider to improve they need to believe their bike wont fail on them. any slight lack of trust in your bike means half hearted attempts. (i just gotta learn to trust myself now lol) i own a leeson fluid 609 and it is third hand but people are amazed of the condition of it, its the best bike i have ever ever ridden. for street its in a league of its own. with the 360 dropouts theres in my opinion literally no flex in the stays. its just a solid as a tank. i tried the other day (for some strange reason) to try and land it heavy....but it just didnt seem to give a s**t, it just seems unbreakable to me. and another thing, with the piece of mind of knowing that if it does somehow (unlikely) break or crack, mr leeson will fix it for you. it gives me more bottle to try things knowing i have a solid bike and if i do manage to fook it up silly style i dont need to fork out hundreds for a new frame. like i said for street its phenomanal.....i can get the bike just as high (if not higher) off the ground as my 26" and for spins its ideal, bunny hops it flies and manuals it just sits on a beautiful balance point (so much so i have now been able to get better at brakeless manuals) of course the bonus of unique geo means your bike is exactly that...."unique" not one other person in the world will have a bike that feels identical to yours. unless by chance they choose the exact same geo. all in all.......solid, strong, light, unique and IMO an investment. not to mention the improvement of your riding hope this helps.... ARW
  13. nice pics dude the second pic however is weird.....its probably just me but either your bike looks tiny or you look mahooosive! it looks like your riding a 24"...obviously your not though arw
  14. looks real nice to ride......but change the front tyre it just ruins it, IMO, but then again if you like it then its all that matters. other than that it looks spot on...liking the old IRC (el gato....or is it the kujo?) you not find it rides better with a tad longer stem? ARW
  15. welcome welcome welcome, make yourself comfy... ive got to say it is nice seeing someone new who has actually read the rules and can spell! you should get validated soooner that way nicely done ARW
  16. hi, first off sorry if someone has already asked about this but i did a search and it just kept coming up with an error....so anywho, basically ive just got myself a leeson 609 24" (thanks to bob87 for that-LEGEND!) and it is in the perfect condition, brakes are spot, on nothing creaks, nothing is loose, its near impossible to make it make a nasty sound on drop offs, its just perfect in everyway etc etc...but im still finding it difficult to get the confidence to do stuff. like tonight for example i was trying a relatively small sidehop which im more than capable of doing but it took me like 20 attempts before i got the bottle to keep my foot on the pedal rather than putting it on the wall (hope you understand) when i put my foot down i was like at least 6 inches above the wall height so i wouldnt of messed up at all, but my bloody foot just jumps off the pedals and onto the wall ( i sidehop to the left so its my left foot - thats why my cranks dont spin round when i do it and hit my shin) its just really really really frustrating when i know i can do all these moves but something inside me just seems to stop me going for it!....even on big gaps i know that if i go half hearted at it i know ill prob end up worse off, but i cant bring myself to chuck myself forward. im always thinking the worse 1) chain will snap 2) tyre will slip 3) hub will skip 4) ill come up short and tw*t my ankles or ass on sidehops 5) go over the bars and make my face uglier i know it sounds silly to most you guys but what do you do to convince yourself your not gonna f*ck up? is there any techniques? dont get me wrong i do some stuff im proud of but most of my rides im thinking the worse and not goin whole hearted at stuff, hense not enjoying it as i get pissed off and not improving as much as i would like. sensible responses please as i know most will think im just bein a p*ssy but least im honest. regards ARW p.s - sorry if its confusing at all, drop me some questions if i lost you
  17. morning all, im asking this cos im always at work in the day so dont get time to call leeson (a.k.a - bit lazy and cant be arsed to ring leeson.) im interested in getting their carbon seat for my 609 but.... 1) is it just the saddle 2) do i need to buy a clamp and post? 3) if so does anyone know what size tube it is? i read the other day something about the leeson seat tube is different like it doesnt need a clamp or something.....im just confused lol if anyone can help then that would be much appreciated cheers ARW

    24" Frames

i recently got a leeson fluid 609, nicest bike i have ever ever been on. i think its a little diff to the standard leeson geo its got 20mm bb rise and is also 20mm longer wheelbase. its an absolute solid beast. expecially with the 360 dropouts there is no flex at all and it doesnt feel cramped with the length. one more thing i like is the fact you can have a seat where as the zoot you cant and the colours of the frame are disgusting. one thing i would say is though that it costs 400 new so maybe a 24uk is your best option but i dont know how they ride if you can afford it though get a leeson fluid 609.....or a curtis or an iolo as they make to order same as leeson but possibly cheaper. ARW
  19. i think its worth asking what kinda trials you ride? if you like your hoppy hoppy big stuff then a grind is a must but if you prefer streety stuff, e.g- manualing and skatepark stuff then a grind is a no no. the grind IMO makes the brakes just lock on lock off. and if u need your brake to adjust while manualling (to keep your balance) then a smooth rim would be best as the brakes wont suddenly jam on slamming your front wheel down ending the best manual you could have ever possibly done!! or alternatively learn brakeless manuals....im getting there. good sense of achievment when you get it right....possible sore arse if you dont! so all in all if u got a long bike for hoppy hoppy then grindy grindy if u wanna go streey sreety spinny spinny then go smoothy smoothy with the occasional bit of tar if needed on the big beasty stuff prob no help at all.....sorry ARW
  20. some good moves been thrown around here....bunny hop to front flip?!!! id love to see that one, be unreal. and i didnt realise i was validated no..... i dont understand why it happened so fast lol, only became a member last wednesday, some people are pre members for like months. maybe because i have bought something off a member.......my beast of a leeson fluid 609, which incidentally i have just received a text from my bro sayin it arrived an hour ago!! so getting home from here i cannot wait! ( i know you dont care too much probs but i do! lol) nicely done boys keep posting about the sickest moves and hopefully we can see a few on videos one day! hopefully with my new steed my dream move will sooner become a reality! fingers crossed! ARW
  21. whenever i think of the one move or link of moves id love to be able to do it has always made me think of so many....but i think i have just thought of the one... id love to be able to bunnyhop to manual onto a big long wall, manual along it and at the end still in a manual a 360 spin off with a crank flip in mid air. other moves id love to be able to nail are such things as... sidehop onto a gate (like tunnicliffe) in the newcastle ride where macaskill does that endo/stoppy backwards down the that sloped wall thing lol.....(hard to explain...prob has a name.) manual a handrail like akrigg has done i believe. among alot of other things but i was just wondering what your ultimate move/link of moves would be (KEEP IT REALISITIC!) everyone needs something to work for cos that way they will push themselves that little more to achieve their goals in my opinion...and more likely to improve faster. if i ever pull off this move ill be sure to film it and post it, ill then inform you of my next dream move ARW
  22. what goes in and out and stinks of piss? your nan doing the hokey cokey what did the cannibal do after he dumped his girlfriend? wiped his arse i was complimented on my driving the other day, when i got back to my car a lovely person had left something on my windscreen it read, "parking fine" which i thought was nice a man with no arms and legs is lying on the beach when three beautiful girls take pity and come up to him. the first girl asks "have you ever been hugged?" he shakes his head, so feeling sorry she gives him a hug the second girl asks "have you ever been kissed" again the man shakes his head, and the girls decides to give him a kiss the tihird girl suddenly asks "have you ever been f****d?" the mans eyes light up and he says "no!!", getting all excited she then replies...."you are now!! the tides coming in!" at 7am a lone wife hears the keys in the front door and wonders down all bleary eyed amd tired. she goes in the kitchen to see her husband all drunk, ruffled shirt and lipstick on his collar! the wife snarles "i asume there is a very good reason for you to come waltzing in here at seven in the morning?!!" "there is" he replies calmly "breakfast." two bats meet up after a midnight feed, dave comes back saying "i caught bugger all tonight brian! you must of had a class night feeding with all the blood ozzing from around your mouth , you lucky b*****d. take to where you got the food cos im starving and need some monch" "ok dave" brian says "ill take you there now" after a short flight brian says to dave "you see that tree over there mate?" "yes" dave says brian replies " i f*****g didnt!!" and finally.... two dwarfs have just won the lottery, so they decide to go and hire two prostitutes and take them to a hotel room to celebrate. the first dwarf tries desperately all night to get an erection but its just not happening, because all he can hear next door is his mate going "1, 2, 3 huh!" this goes on repeatedly all night. the next morning the second dwarf asks "so, how did it go" the first dwarf replies "s**t i couldnt even get an erection! how was your night?" the second dwarf turns anround a replies "even worse i couldnt even get on the bed!!" some oldies but goodies adam
  23. hope this isnt a repost because i got full on blazed yesturday for doing that. anyway one of my favourite websites www.yourdailymedia.com posted up a trials video the other day of CLS, you may have seen the video but its the comments of the viewers that suprised me. (when u click on the image the video will load in a seperate window, the 'comments' link is above the video click this to read them) i dont think people who dont ride trials give us enough credit for the skills involved in trials (they jst think were "vandals" lol) so its just cool to see some people respecting and appreciating the sport in which we all pretty much love. im pretty sure we all agree although its rare that its cool when your out riding and someone rather than moaning says "well done" or stop to watch you ride or bibs their horn and puts their thumb up etc. it feels good in my opinion when people respect and know the skill put into learning such a unique and talented sport! so just go on yourdailymedia and search for "freestlye cycling 2" lol i know....i didnt name it ive seen a few other random trials videos on their before but cant find them at the minute. adam
  24. oh well ive only been a memeber since yesterday, i never knew sorry guys
