basically i got a gusset tank chain off tartys, totally destroyed my standard chain tool. Couldnt even move the pin a smidge. So now ive got a khe collpase chain, do people have the same problem with these? ive only got my dads chain tool left and i dont wanna try if its gonna break it. any tips or advice is appreciated cheers arw

what he said would work a treat, they are so focused on getting your wallet that they will have their eye on it. another method would be to throw the wallet up in the air. they will follow it even for a split second, enough to twat em in the face. (if your cool enough lol then u can throw the wallet, smack them, catch the wallet and ride off) another method i have thought of is give them the bike......then as they ride away u know they wont be able to go faster than u can run. so f**kin spear the b*****d off the bike, will f**kin cane him n u will land on him cushioning your fall then bash him abit more. all this is easier said than done of course, and id prob fanny it all. but next time u feel in this situation its not fear your feeling its adrenaline. its pumping u up, its heightening your senses. unless the kid pulls a knife, your bike or any of your possessions are worth fighting for. adam p.s - now i gotta practice what i preach lol, off to the many dodgy parts of brum i go.

basically im starting my own business as a heating engineer. i need to get a van...just a few questions and help needed if any one can be of assistance i would appreciate it greatly. i will need to be using this van as not only for work but as my car so i want something fairly decent but also smaller as ill look a right paedo driving round in a big van on a night out or something lol. im looking at either a ford transport connect, vw caddy (too expensive) or a vauxhall combo. anyone have any experience with these vans? im only looking to spend £2500. there are a few out there but obviously for that price they all have drawbacks, namely mileage! thats my next question, whats the maximum mielage you would be looking at if you bought a van? cheers for any help adam

i got a brand new unused gusset tank chain mate. £10 posted. absolute beast chains, strongest there is along side the khe collapse but thats twice as expensive. only bought it a week ago. opened the pack though, but not used. reason i didnt use it was because i was offered another chain at a good price. let me know adam

ye thats it, landed and took off from birmingham airport for the first time yesterday. was hoping to see it from the ground but didnt unfortunately. anyone have any opinions on hydrogen fuel cells? only emission is water. i know the technology is being tested in a few cars and has also been made into a boiler. i believe once they have a safe way of using them (as they are very volatile and like to blow up at the moment) it will be one of the main sources of power in the future. also....i was thinking though, if everything was run on hydrogen fuel cells would the atmosphere be able to cope? as in would everything just get covered in condensation? or a much more humid/sticky/damp atmosphere? just thoughts, im probably wrong

i can't figure it out, but did any one notice he kept completely still throughout the draw of the balls. he had his hand to his face and just froze. dont know if that has something to do with it. maybe as it was a fixed camera they overlapped two shots. one a photo of him, the surroundings and balls etc. and the other was a cut out of the tv screen, so the tv was the live feed and the rest just an image, and then he went behind the tv and wrote on the balls and back to his original position. however i dont have a clue how he got back in the exact same position. so im totally wrong lol bye

technology is moving on at scary speeds. Just when you think things can't get any better, faster, easier, smaller, smoother, lighter etc etc they bring something else out that makes you suprised to say the least. i have created this thread (did a search, nothing came up for something similar) for people to discuss and show different technologies that are planned for the future, or for technologies that people believe will happen. ill give some travel examples to start... a plane engine has been tested for commercial use (back in 2001 i might add) that can reach speeds of up to 5000mph, meaning london to new york in less than an hour and london to sydney in two!! have a read, scramjet i know jet fighters are quick, but this quick? and commercial with hundreds on board? more than 3 times faster than concord. would def make me want to go to australia!! lol another example of travel is a train idea....again 5-6000mph can be achieved. vactrain as an example if you think back ten years ago to what tv's were like then, and what they are like now! But imagine in 20 years time!!! show me and everyone future technologies you have found out about or discuss ones that have been posted. take it away adam

ye, hillfield, solihull near monkspath. ye wel im gonna get my chain as tight as poss, but still think its gonna take the chain away from the sprocket too early and ill lose a few vital teeth i could be grabbing on to. i can see tomo as being a nightmare day of me gettin pissed off tryin to figure something out. might just use it the way it should be used but just worried about the wear and tear and skipping problems.

basically i have bought a second hand 4jeri tensioner. and want to fit it to my bike tomo. however as i have such a small sprocket on the back if i run it the way it should be run (as in pushing the chain down to create tension) i am at risk of it skipping alot, which i dont want. so i was wondering if there is an easy way of making the tensioner want to spring up so that i could put it on the underside of the chain and therefore it would push up towards the chainstay and make the chain make more contact with the sprocket. heres a pic of the tensioner..... 4jeri if you look at the second pic enlarged you can see the spring feature. i wonder if i can flip it round or make one but the opposite. any help would be appreciated. adam
