But thats not the cost of getting into the sport. You could buy a second hand traisl bike for £100 or a new entry level one for £300.

Just ride trials as you normally would, it won't take that long, a day of full riding and it should be almost done. On-off-on-off dabbing of the brake whilst moving works well. Just make sure not to hold it full on and drag the brake, as your pads may be hot so when you drag your brake you can either warp your rotor or glaze the pads over.

Cats are really good, if you get a cat from a shelter then it will most likely be already litter trained, and if your buying from someone who has breeded them then they will have been litter trained before they can be taken away from the mother. Cats are quite independant and can easily go about on their own, depending on your area it may or may not be a good idea to let a cat out a lot, (I live by a busy road and my cat which is just over a year old hasn't been out yet, she's not anxious to run out the door when its open so its not like it bothers her). Obviously as cats are very independant, do make sure you get a regular chance to check them over (if they have been in a scrap, hurt themselves, loosing hair etc.) It would also be wise to have pet insurance taken out, as vets bills can soon rack up, (my last cat had to be put down because of an incurable tumour, but leading up to this the vet didn't know if she had a broken pelvis, back, etc because of the symptoms, and once anaesthetic and x-rays start happening you have a big bill on your hands, luckily she was covered as it mounted up to £2000). Other thing to remember is to get the cat spayed or neutered. My dad has always chosen female cats, as they are the least habituous sex, as males usually tend to spray which is when they wet all around the house, which would be a way of marking their territory or importance towards female cats. Thats the most important bits, as well as the obvious things such as toys, scratching post, something to sleep on, food etc. Breed and markings really aren't important, just to taste and budget (I know that sounds bad), although I will say stay clear of just white cats. (As they are prone to sun burn in the hotter months, and many can be born deaf or partially deaf). My moggy has tortoiseshell markings with white (will have to get some pictures up she's amazing). Lets face it if you want a cat to love for many years (or in this case your family), you'll want to think about a nice looking one, most interesting and beautiful markings to go far would be tortoiseshell or tabby, just so many variations every one looks different.

Eww no, a ZOO! Python was reputable for being a long and low street/tgs bike. And now its just combined with the front end of a short competition bike. All the componentry and frame looks brilliant, aside from the front end, it really needs the straight leg forks, no headset spacers and low bars.

Corr some old times. Theres a lad who lives across the road from me, and back in the day from when we was like 3 we had been best mates. Some years later we both had our 20" kids bikes (we must have been about 8?), and decided to have a race along a stretch of road (from the old fogies to his fence). Of course me having a geared bike, I had the upper hand, soon taking the lead, eventually reaching the fence and slowing to a stop, shouting "I'm first!". He on the otherhand got so caught up in pedalling his single gear bike, he forgot to slow down for the fence, still maintaining a good speed and shouted "I'm second!!" followed by the sound of his bike annihilating his fence, bike went straight through it almost cartoon style, and left wood shrapnel everywhere. I don't know why but it seemed like this kid seemed to destory everything of his, he lived in a really big house, as his nan and grandad also lived there, but we'd always do something like one summer his mum set-up a tent as a means of shade, we went in there and just lazed about after having a run about in the hot sun, what was a small hole in the tent soon became a gaping hole, then his foot went through it, then it was a question of being able to squeeze his whole body through it, and eventually there was no tent left, was a heck of a job trying to convice his mum that the tent just fell apart. I'm laughing about these moments now, absolutely hilarious how something bad would happen and we'd spend the rest of the day thinking of a logical excuse (which never really worked). Cor I haven't laughed that hard in years. Another time was when we was in his garage, always played around with the crap that he had hoarded away in his garage, old matresses and chairs and things, it was a pretty big garage too. Inside the garage was almost like a loft space, I noticed a conviently placed ladder and soon started to climb it, only when I got to the top I realised that it was his grandads scaffolding set (You know your basic DIY ones that must be about 6-7 feet tall, but in this case it was all packed away and hanging on the wall). I went to put my foot on the scaffolding set as a support, but it all came away from the wall, crashed down, along with all the stuff in the garage that was sitting in and on it, and when it fell it came forward and knocked off the contents off the oposite shelves in the garage. Corr I felt so bad that his grandad would have to tidy what was now an incredibly messy garage. Again, we made a story to cover it, but he wouldn't have any of it, so I just went home.

Nasum - Breach of Integrity I've been listening to grindcore and actually found a few tracks I like (that being one of them). =D

This Is Why You Don't Wear Tight Pants Riding...
Captain Scarlet replied to Ben-jamin''s topic in Trials Chat
At extortionate prices, its makes for good trade, womens jeans are cheap but I'm sure alot of men will easily say; "Gah I don't want to look like a ponce by buying ladies jeans", so go for ones they know are men specific, and theres not a lot of places that sell good quality "mens" skinny jeans for cheap. I still don't see how it is the skinny jeans that caused this, I'd imagine any pair of jeans could do this. Afterall, your wearing boxers on underneath, how do we know they weren't incorrectly fitting and was the cause to this? I guess every guy in this topic got that same tingle from their balls after seeing this photo? -
Some good improvements but they still haven't looked full into it. Its nice to see an addition of a headtube/downtube gusset, the old frames didn't have it and were just waiting to crack. But they haven't given it a good bashplate (unless that is a prototype), as there is no grooved edge to the bashplate (how is it supposed to grip), the caliper mount hasn't been beefed up (a large area for flex and inevitably cracking on the old frames), and the toptube/downtube weld has not be sorted/improved. Obviously if they are going for a lightweight bike, they've done that, but beefing up the disc mount wouldn't add much more weight, and thats all that really needs to be done to make this bike work well.

Its not so much me being cold, but the dampness/icyness of my bike and what it is riding on. Too sketching riding in the wet, sure I'll do it if I'm out on a ride, but going out on my own knowing that I'm not going to be doing much, there isn't much point.

Norwich Big Christmas Ride!
Captain Scarlet replied to s h a n e b a r r e t t's topic in Member Organised Rides
I'd be up for that too, but I can only do a Friday or Saturday. -
Don't suppose you'd be up for riding Colchester on Friday. Thanks again guys.
-
Nope, wasn't yours Muel, built mine myself with new parts. Cheers for the comments guys, am getting a camera for christmas so should make a better and longer video in the new year.
-
Thats odd Simpson, as this was all before I met you. Just shows how little I was riding at Chelmsford. Then again I think I have got worse since the clips in this video.
-
Right I've had these in and out of the editing programme for a while now, was trying to make a full video, but it was really not worth the hassle, the quality of the riding as well as how long ago it was just made it virtually uneditable (or at least I got annoyed with trying to perfect it). So I literally threw this together in 20 minutes, like I say ridings not amazing, I just wanted it done and gone (out of Sony Vegas). Trials-Forum Video -> Full View • Download • Upload And as for the random flashes, I edited the video with one song and it fitted well, but I wanted some better music, and couldn't be bothered to undo the gaps in video.

Yea to quote Dan's team self restraint, I'm on a 14mm flesh tunnel now (lobe in case anyone thought I was still on the subject of tongue stretching). =D
-
You'll have to come and try it with my wheel mate, its good but I think as your used to Arcade racing (Forza being simulation), you might find it less exciting and more difficult to control the car. I'd be up for some skate. just so fun tricking about.

Don't bother with the Echo ones (its not the fact they are not notched, as afterall they then have an infinate degree of adjustment), but they are too small in comparision to the Try-All, Trialtech, and monty ones. Countless amount of times I have run out of adjustment on my Echo ones. And also read in carefully for each set of snail cams as each has different spacing on the rear hub (Try-All ones are thinner than Echo ones, and Monty ones are sometimes used on the outside of the frame). If you've got a Monty frame, I'd go for the Monty snail cams.

That is some beastly cartilage gauges, I bet that did hurt aha. I had my other lobe piecered and gone up a few sizes on my current tunnel.

Well I've used a little digital camera thing for all my trials filming and such, good little camera but am need of an actual camcorder. £300 is my budget, I don't care for it being HD, Standard definition or whatever, I'm just looking for a camcorder that is of a good quality and frame rate, but essentially Hard drive as a storage medium. I've had a look internet and popped over to Comet have seen the Sony DCR-SR55. Its looking to be my favourite at the moment, but I've also seen the Toshiba 80GB camcorder, which boasts HD and double storage capacity. (But doesn't seem feasable for the price). Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with either camcorder, or knows of one in a similar price range. Thanks, EDIT: Oh and I forgot the mention that its main usage will be for bike videos (Trials, BMX, etc)

'Kin lush man, I want to have a go of that so bad. Good to see you've got a bike to ride. Whats the chain line like, any complications so far? You had a little go of that beast yet?
-
Just change the car per race man, take it in turns to decide. Its how I play with the guys at work, its really intense as anything can happen, just one mistake and you've lost the race completely.
-
I'm in, time to get back into the wheel. Can we all use the same car though?, it is so much fun just racing on skill alone.

Onza Citrus or Onza Lime pads. My friend has been running these pads for years, I personally can't stand them (as the hiss is a placebo and denotes no hold to me). But he is a big guy and they manage to hold him fine. Unbeaten on value too.

I find that quite stressful to do, I also found that measuring walls (although good to know) is also a factor of my stress when riding street. I always say to myself; "Man why can't I backwheel that anymore, I used to be able so much bigger, my best is X height!". Currently I've lost motivation to ride due to this, and my bike being a bit bodged (brake has no hold and rubs a lot). I remember last year when I was riding with a couple of riders from a town local to me, we went to ride some rocks at the seaside one day, and whilst I was trying to backwheel, sidehop, etc onto one rock or gap between a couple, they said to do a line, and as a group we made lines and tried completeing them. I haven't riden with those guys in a while, but I always think back to that moment and do that whenever possible. When we was trying to complete the line in that example, its not like a competition as we are all friends, and between us we helped each other out to ensure we could all complete that line. And of course, having a laugh along the way. Lines... the fun way to ride.

The machine also has no guard? Pointless if you ask me.
