  1. Torquay, Devon; beautiful place, always went on holiday there as a kid so theres a nostalgic aspect to it too, and lots of nice places nearby (Paington, Brixham, Babacombe). I would just like to go back there for a holiday, I have such fond memories of it.
  2. I am afraid it does not come with a bashplate as its a stock (26" wheel bike). They are common practice on 20" bikes, but not the 26's. There is unfortunately no universal bashplate as you described either, however it does have a bashring that protects the cog mount on the crank and to some extent the bottom bracket area. Some people have bent metals around the shape of the frame and cable tied them in place before, so if you are that keen on keeping the bike is good condition, thats probably the only way you'll go about doing it.
  3. I just can't wait to rip Charlie tomorrow, regarding the fact how if he had the choce, he wouldn't sleep with anyone else in the world besides his girlfriend. He soon left, it was too much. And he's probably reading the forum now thinking; "Wish I could reply!!!"
  4. Aha had a few of my mates on Cod yesterday, with Jon we had enough for a whole team. Best bit was Charlie Jennings and Jon Mack, surprisingly wasn't much conflict. =D
  5. Well I browsing through the Raleigh catalogue at work today and found these made by Quad. After thinking that professionally produced disk mount adapters were just myth, I've found something that may work. Retails at £19.99 so its not bad.
  6. Decent chain tensioning systems. Frames that have a bit of a larger rear triangle (I swear its impossible for the chain not to hit the frame in someway whatever the tension, with low frames such as Neon, Echo Lite etc). 4-bolt and Disc mounts on all frames (£250 Diamondback hardtail and trials bikes come like this as standard, so why not top spec trials bikes?) More Hydroformed tubing (again, £300 Diamondback bikes include features such as Hydroformed downtube, so why can we only replicate this on a £400 frame?) Splined freewheel/cranks, silly idea to have a high torque part such as a freewheel, threaded onto a crank (which over time is getting tighter, and without good instalation can soon get stuck).
  7. Corr I'd imagine people would get absolutely slated on that; "What were you doing hogging the ball?", "You can't pass fo' sh*t!".
  8. Yea I think it is. Same rail; http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hU5QtoCEPBw
  9. Actually thinking about it, my current rear brake set-up is more expensive than my mono trials. Once you take into consideration; pads, clamps, extra levers etc.
  10. I always liked rear discs, the silent operation and what felt like amazing hold. However, no noise is really bad when you are uncertain if your brake is working or not, whereas with a maggie, you can tell if your brake isn't quite right by change in volume or pitch of the noise made. Discs; No tar, no grinds, coloured rim sidewalls, no noise, all weather/conditions. Magura; No rotors, different performing pads, tar for extra stick, audible noise. Personally, I'd rather use dual disc in competition use, Magura just feels right on street. Magura would get my vote, cheaper, easier to set-up/maintain, and can be tweaked to make braking more modulant or holding.
  11. I'm sure you can ride one day without gloves. Just get some decent grips. =D
  12. Yea it is Hutley. Ah cheers for the download link. See you all there.
  13. Anyone see the trials clip on you've been framed tonight?, I don't know who it was but was a rider on what looked like a plain ZOO! Python, pink helmet, black jeans, trying to sidehop onto a railing. Was a couple of attempts at it too. I wonder if "you've been framed" have just mugged someone off again.
  14. So who's going to this trial? I'd also thought I'd post this up because I haven't recieved an entry form, so if Dave could post back that would be much appreciated.
  15. Thats irrelevant to what he is asking. There's already a few guides about that can explain much better than me so I'lll link you to those. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/Backwheeling http://www.trashzen.com/pedal-up-biketrial.php The important part of Backwheeling is the pedal strokes, those guides will tell you to start with your bad foot at 12 o clock position, and from that point you pretty much do a small wheelie, until your good foot comes round which is when you give it that final kick (good foot) to shoot up. Its difficult at first, so just practice the pedal strokes on the floor or on a kerb and once you feel confident move to slightly larger obstacles.
  16. Is there even much to ride in Walton?
  17. Yea I've tried a few, and at that price they are a steal. Its also worth mentioning the cable bikehut disc brake, as that is easily compareable with the BB7.
  18. Mediumish length hair is annoying enough in trials, f*ck dreads!
  19. "I'm going to give my rim a really harsh grind". "I can't get it up"
  20. Tak! Always a gem these videos are, can I just ask what was the first piece of music in the second video?
  21. Yea I think the Winter season starts as of this month. I feel like having a handgun game too, could be a chance to practice.
  22. Who are these guys, I've never seen them about besides Darren. Nice stuff Joe.
