Second hand if you are minted! Unless you're super good, I'd buy as much stuff as you can second hand. I've saved a good few grand over the years buying second hand stuff, in fact on my current stock, the only stuff I bought new are the handlebars, stem, front tyre, disc rotor, rear brake, rear tube and chain, so it's cost me about £750 in total, not £1500+.

Because it's illegal to ride there anyway, taking motorbikes might be taking the piss a bit... I don't think it's be that good for motorbike trials anyway, I thought about maybe taking mine up some time, but all the rocks are broken and craggy and they tend to be in big lumps, not much to lay motorbike trials sections out on.

That's a myth, you put that in the eye aswell. Lie on your back and get someone to just trickle it in whilst you roll your eye around in the socket, this will work it round to the back where it seeps in and repairs the damage. Apparantly it's best if it's warm aswell, it's slightly more lubracitive when warm.

Yeh there are places literally everywhere up here if you have a car, Stanage Edge is good apparantly, I've never ridden there though, and there's Matlock Quarry which is amazing, Bracken Rocks, Dudwood Farm etc. Best thing is just to keep an eye out for rides around here and tag along.

Nope, just search for loads of makes followed by trials several times a week, seems to be working, I've got two bikes builds on the go at the moment, so I need a fair old lick of stuff!
