I went past a copper in a side road the other day doing about 55 in a 40, and the pulled out and I thought they were following me, but after about 5 miles of them doing nothing I turned off and they carried on. Scary as f**k though, I've only got 6 points to be going at! EDIT: Bear in mind this was on a Sunday afternoon on one of the most popular riding roads round here, and they're really clamping down on bikes round here now. (I have the Cat and Fiddle, Snake Pass, Long Hill, Buxton-Leek road right on my doorstep).

I've got a video called Kamakazi from 1990, and in the trials section they're all on XC mountain bikes.

They work very well, as long as you have a rim with parallel sidewalls, and the frame has mounts that are exactly square.

Is this fluid like an emulsion type fluid Mike? Will it be ready in the next couple of weeks? How much will it cost? Are you allowed to answer these questions yet? Just I was planning on rebuilding my rear brake along with the rest of my bike and I want to try a fluid with more lubricating properties, fed up of sticky pistons. (Lever and slaves).

I say yes, if you know what you're doing and start with a promising car. I.E: Mk1 Clio Hybrid. Ideal for adding a cage, posh suspension and brakes, maybe a stage 1 tune, then there you have it, a lovely, light, fast little hatch.

You can get a paper round, and I think you can work in pub kitchens too?

For it to work with a disc, it needs the proper end cap. (Or a new one machined designed to work with a cam). Really good work so far though, hope it works properly. I'd still much rather have a shortened Pro 2 drive shell and axle though.

Have you not got any headset spacers above the stem? How have you tensioned the stem properly? I'd say the spec does matter an awful lot, I had a standard T-Pro and didn't learn that fast, then got a Zona frame and started upgrading it. Every time I upgraded something I got a lot better. It doesn't matter who you are, if you ride a better bike you will learn faster and be able to ride it better straight away. (In my experience).

I just can't work it out though, I really murdered it last time and it was nothing like as harsh as most peoples harsh grinds...

I've done at least 30 grinds over the years and they've all come out fairly pansy-like. The one I did on my rear rim recently was OKish, I got a cutting disc and spent ages sharpening it to a point on a piece of steel, then ground the rim moving the grinder as fast as I could manage with it at 90 degrees to the rim.

Just use Tarty, they can sort you out with almost anything you need.

I thought Onza tried knurling and gave it up because it didn't give a rough enough surface? They also tried machining it aswell I seem to remember, which didn't work. Why not make a grinding machine? Something that spins the wheel and grinds it at the same time, so all you have to do is select how harsh a grind you want by changing the speed that the rim passes the disc and how hard it presses into it? Could be done I suppose, probably not cost effective though...

I have a brakeless fixie and never touch it for precisely this reason. That and they are f**king dangerous and shit for going up hill. (Don't contradict me again Fatty, this is my opinion after riding fixed several times).

A Mono Trial shouldn't need an adapter, they have an IS mount? Or did you get the XC mono? It'll work, just not really bitey enough for trials. I'd sell it and get a Mono Trial if I were you.
