I wouldn't think that would stop it, mine did it because they had oil on the back of the pads. Just ride it, they'll soon dig into the paint and it'll stop.

They use M10 bolts the bolt straight into the axle, and they don't tend to develop skipping as far as I know, they tend to strip the thread that the rachet ring thingy screws into first. This doesn't happen that often though, just depends how much of a basher you are!

I use a blunt centre punch and a big hammer. Gets it super tight!
