  1. It alright, nothing on Matlock Quarry though. It's not as good as it used to be, it used to be pretty good but they moved all the rocks around so it's better for motorbikes.
  2. Really, they were awful! No hold at all!
  3. Lol, you think I'm joking? I've done it to every disc brake I've had for the last 5 years, I believe Boumsong has aswell. Do it the hard way if you like just with water! It will take ages and often goes wrong and glazes the pads in mono trial brakes I've found.
  4. Cheers Dave. I'll be using an emulsion of water and oil when I next bleed it, so I'll try that and see if it frees it off.
  5. Dave, his front rotors on backwards, not the rear.
  6. Pick me up someone? Ta! Either day is rate.
  7. Cheers, Thats a great help. I'll give it too my Dad and see if he can turn it or make me a new piston, seems like it's a common thing! The only problem I can see it mounting it in the lathe, as there is nothing to get hold of really. It's not an old one though, I got it from Trials-UK, it's a white one but it's one of the ones that came after the Eisbar ones. Anyway, I'll solve it somehow. Thanks. I do remember when I got it that it was really free and easy though? Maybe it reacted with the water/anit-freeze and swelled?
  8. Add Mud. It beds it in faster, just doesn't give quite as good results. The best way I've found is to get it good enough so you can ride it, then just ride it and it will bed in as you ride.

    F1

I thought it was funnier when it should pissing it down, and he found he'd destroyed his wets and had to come in to change again, and they sent him back out on intermediates! (I think) It never ceases to amaze me how bad some of the decisions get made in F1. "You know it's going to rain so hard in the afternoon that there will be standing water on the whole track?" "Meh."
  10. Cheers Matt I'll give that a bosh. I'm also planning on mixing up a new fluid some time this week, so I'll make an emulsion with some oil in it aswell, that should sort it!
  11. The piston in my Maggy lever is sticking whenever I take the fluid out, what can i do to stop it? It's almost as if the piston has expanded? I bought a brake off here and returned it because of this, I thought it was a one time thing but now it's happened to this one aswell. What can I do? A fluid with more lubricating-ness? I could get my Dad to machine a stainless steel piston? It would be a very long job though, he could only fit it in when he had time and I want to ride! It returns fine when it's bled, but it means that even when it's bled with water it's fairly heavy at the lever. I could just turn a tiny amount off the piston? That way the seal would be the same diametre still, but the plastic part would be slightly smaller? Any ideas welcome. I'm not going to buy a new one, as it is new! I built the brake from brand new parts in February. (lever, slaves, hose etc.)
  12. John Tomac was a mountain bike racing legend. (I think). They had a big, fat nasty lever and came in red, they look a bit like 04 maggys, but the lever was even bigger.
  13. Thats insane, just stop eating as much sugary/fatty foods, and do some excercise now and then. It's not rocket science! A lot of people put extra weight on over the winter, I've put on 13 pounds since september, and I'm eating healthier than ever.
  14. I watched the first clip first, forgot to watch the How to but i just watched it now. You can see he looks so much better on the BMX! Danny Mac does trials with spins and stuff in and makes his own tricks up, this isn't BMX inspired trials at all, it's flatland on a trials bike. It's just my opinion! I think if you had a BMX with brakes you could do so much more, fair play for doing your own thing though.
  15. This counts as advertising your stuff for sale, which isn't allowed until you get validated.
  16. You've done 11 posts in 3 years. What do you expect? How are the mods supposed to spot you if you only post like 3-4 times a year
  17. The point is that if any normal trials riders saw him out riding on a curb, they wouldn't laugh, or take the piss or think it's funny, they'd go over, have a chat and offer advice and guidance. When I was 15 I would have done the same, because anyone under the age of 17 thinks they're the dogs bollocks and looks to take the piss out of anyone and everything, (In my experience).
  18. What an utterly wank reply, I expected better, come on! Rip me properly, put some effort in for f**ks sake... I'm not actually that keen on that track, I havn't heard it before but I think it's Arch Enemy, who have done a couple of albums I really like.
  19. I like that sort of music, but not in a trials video! Was it Arch Enemy? Seriously, just get a BMX, you'd look so much better on it. That just looks wierd IMO.
  20. Love those frames, I think I'll have to get one for my next bike! Looks nice!
  21. I've never got that to work, you can't turn the screwdriver hard enough and it keeps jumping out of the slot because you can't cut deep enough without damaging the wheel bolt spacer washer thing.
  22. This, is a Czar: This, is an A1: This is Tunnicliffes bike. Certainly looks more like a Czar to me!

    Glueing Pads In

Nope, I do have some stuff called Impact but it's in one tube. I reckon I just need to clean the backings properly, I did wipe them over but any dirt or grease may have stopped it working properly.

    Glueing Pads In

Thats a good point, I didn't clamp them in or anything. Right, I get my Dad to shotblast the backings, sand/file all the superglue and shite off the pads, cover them in superglue and stick them in the vice. Hopefully they'll take Thanks for the tips guys.
