  1. You can either: Man up and laugh it off, like the rest of us have been doing since we started riding.Buy a seat, and endure all the other questions, such as why is your set so low, are those holes in your rims speed holes, and why is it a wierd shape.
  2. When I tap I end up sitting on my tyre most times, so on a 29 it would be even worse. Ben Leacock would be the rider to try it out, TF's tallest member! (6'8" I think).
  3. Just heard my mate got some CX500s for £15 off ebay, are they better than CX300s?
  4. I just paid £28 for a set of those. I got the white ones, not worth £10 extra though.
  5. I put the bars on just to try it, it looks pretty horrid now though, the red detailing on the bars does not go well with the rims, but it rides like a dream! I think I want some bars that are a bit less "radical" than the TIs, the upsweep and backsweep is a bit much for stock, and even with the 10mm of stacks removed from under the stem they feel a bit high. I'm thinking TrialTech bars? I'll need to put the TIs back on the Mod, because that's staying for now, but the more I ride this thing the more I think I won't ride it much at all.
  6. Standard TI rims are lighter than Try-Alls, so I'd guess they did pretty well haha.
  7. Sellotape for that one, 40g max for both wheels!

Not sure I like the pedals, but other than that it looks brilliant, really stealthy haha.
  9. Some foam grips and a black front hub and that would be perfect! Is it a customers bike or did you just get bored?
  10. But quite a lot heavier. Only get TI cranks if your a light rider, they are not very strong, but the lightest cranks on the market I think.
  11. I think that the snail cam system works brilliantly, but I've only ever used it on Mod. Now I've got a sprung tensioner on my stock, it's brilliant, you never have to worry about chain tension again. They're both good, but I wouldn't have a 116mm stock frame purely because you can't have a very wide platform to build the wheel on.
  12. I ride a long stock, its got an 1100 wb so they don't come much bigger. I also ride a mod with a 1030 wb, they are both good for different stuff. I'm 5'10" ish and 165lbs. It's purely down to personal preference, I started on mod and just got a stock the other day, they are completely different from each other haha. See if you can ride a mod and a stock and then you'll be able to make your own mind up.
  13. Duh, its on my birth certificate. Haha no she calls me Samuel, but she does call me Muel from time to time.
  14. Because he is useless at running a company, or so I'm told.
  15. I don't know why people are still ordering from TUK, Tarty is better in every possible way.
  16. Well I just got in, and I appear to be living proof that you can still type coherently when slightly pissed. I'm going to stay up until Shazzanne Read does the BMXing on the olympics. She'll medal, you mark my words. Night night.
  17. I made up a JPEG design in photoshop and Poisson (Joe Rothwell) got them printed for me.
  18. Mum got me this for today haha! Cheers guys, I'm off to the pub now.
  19. Could you take some pics? I'd be really interested to see that. 16:13 owns, and no. I think I might try a Vee one day, but this disc is just too good, it works better than any I've used before, it's super stiff at the lever.
  20. He is absolutely useless. My mate ordered some stuff over the phone, and sent Dan round while he was on the phone to check it was in stock, because he needed it before christmas. About a week after christmas, he rang again to find out what was going on and Dan said the stuff wasn't in stock after all. So he just didn't send it out. I will never order anything from him, Tarty have never sent anything to me that hasn't arrived the next day, been perfectly packaged or been exactly what I ordered. Even Supercycles manage to get everything out within a day or two, and they are running a bike company at the same time! I rarely hear about Trials-UK when someone has been complimenting him, I met a guy recently that knew him pretty well and had ridden with him quite a lot, and even he said he is a great guy, but is useless when it comes to running a business.
  21. If they were going to use a bash on stock, which is a good idea by the way, then I think they'd stick to the bashplate mounting design we already have. Then you'd only need one production line to make plates for Mods and Stocks. The mount looks way too far up the downtube to be for a plate if you ask me.
  22. If only I were a baller, then I could run a gear ratio slightly different to the one I have!
  23. Took me a while to get that haha. Sidzzzzzzzz mayeeeett.
  24. Read my post again, see? Yep I did say I thought that was the case, thought I did. So why are you trying to argue with me? You started this argument, all you needed to say was, actually I had a Schoole, and he's right, they do have a 20" rear tyre, here's a couple of examples. I've reported this thread by the way, hopefully it will get cleaned up so the guy who started it can actually get the answer he was after!
