I am about 6'6" and ride a short mod. Its all about getting the set up right in my opinion. Might be worth getting him to have a go on mod and stock and just see what he feels more comfortable riding as everyone is different at the end of the day

In your opinion who would win in a fight between an angry sheep (with horns) and guinea pig of abnormally large size thus equalling the sheep. To me is a tough call, the sheep has horns, and the guinea pig has large gnawing teeth, both very formidable weapons in a combat situation. I await your thoughts. You could try a slightly higher stem and see if that cures it. Again with what Max-t said it could be bad posture when you are riding

to tune your c string bar the c string on the second fret and tune from there. hope that helps
