I have a rear DOB in white That I'm going to sell. I bought it but never built it up so it's brand new. 32 spoke holes. Not sure on a price yet so make me an offer. jim
Which Stem for 07 adamant A1 short? Frame geo is as follows Wheelbase: 1070mm Chainstay Length: 375mm BB Rise: 15mm Head Angle: 72 degrees Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: Short 665mm (26.25") When I first got the frame I had the echo hifi 105 x 5° stem. I changed it to a hifi 115 x 10° stem as it felt too low on the front end before. This made the bike feel loads better in every way. But, when other people ride my bike they always say the front feels too low. I'm quite happy with the way it rides as it is but I think maybe with a higher and longer stem It could be even better. I just after some opinions on how people think it might affect how the bike rides (positives and negatives) with one of these trialtech stems (120mm length and 17° rise) I Have these atomz flat bars and I'm 5'10" tall. Edit. I dont run spacers under my stem either. thanks jim
Possibly a poor wheelbuild. I ran an echo 07 rim for over a year without any problems at all. It never needed truing even though it got a good battering. I havent used a rim that holds grinds as well as the echo either.
car disc brakes come coated in oil to stop them rusting before you buy them, you clean this off with brake cleaner as it's a solvent and doesnt leave any residue. If it did leave a residue then what would be the point in using it? The cars brakes wouldnt work!
Not necessarily true. They usually snap where the bottom of the hole for the crank bolt is due to the stress riser you get at the bottom of a hole. You dont get this with an XT or V!Z bb as the hole goes right the way through. I have a V!Z BB and it seems fine. Doesnt weigh much either.
White spirit leaves a slightly oily residue and takes a while to dry. Go to your local autofactors and pick up some brake cleaner (comes in an aerosol can) spray some on a clean rag and wipe it around the rim and clean your pads with it. If you have tar on your rims it will dissolve it in no time at all, dries in seconds and leaves no residue.
Shoulder seems ok, I dont want to push it too hard but I am back on the bike now. I should be able to make it saturday but only if everyones riding the docks. There seems to be more to do there in my opinion.
I see what you mean. People have said before that I have a strange gap technique. My back wheel seems to go below where it takes off from then lifts up at the last minute for the landing.
When you pull the lever the pads should move instantly, if there is a delay then that is your problem, there is air in the brake and it needs bleeding.
I'l not be riding this weekend, injured my shoulder somehow and the doc says I've damaged the some ligaments and to rest it a couple of weeks, maybe longer. I might not be riding for some time. Gutted!
