  1. I'l be there, I can ride saturday, sunday or both!
  2. With it only being an inch at either end then it's not all that important as there's not alot of leverage going through that part of a handlebar. I would never weld anywhere near the centre of a bar. The only part that loses the heat treatment when a piece of T6 aluminium is welded is immediately around the weld. This becomes T4. The weld is T4 also.
  3. Weld a couple of bits of old handlebar on the end and clean the weld off the outside.
  4. It doesnt weigh much at all, I'l weigh it soon. Titanium is approx 48% lighter than stainless, it's only 1.0mm gauge too. The carbon jockey wheel is 8g. feels about half the weight of my 74 kings!
  5. I made one the other day, It's all titanium even the nuts, bolts and washers are . The jockey wheel's carbon fibre I could probably do with taking a link out of my chain now.
  6. I'm also interested in this. How would the plazmatics on a smooth hold compared to say a koxx brown on a grind? How well do the plazmatics work in the wet? I need a front brake with more modulation than what you get with a grind could also do with being quieter but I dont want to go disc up front.
  7. These are evo mounts, the quick release is on the right. You dont need to run a QR. You can just bolt the evo mounts on. I found that the hourglass bolt for the QR would always bend so I just simply bolted both evo mounts to the frame. heres another pic from a different angle
  8. Put a little thread lock on the threads. Should stop it coming loose
  9. Dont weld it as it ruins the heat treatment thats gone into it and it will simply crack. If you use bearing fit it will come apart easy enough. It should work depending on how bad the splines are. Its well worth a try though. It works by filling the gaps that are causing the play when its in a liquid form then it sets and should hold everything in place. I used to have a hope rear disc and the rotor was mounted to the hub on splines with a lockring to hold it in place. The same thing happend to that, it would come loose alot and even when it was as tight as I could get it there was still play in it. Bearing fit fixed it though.
  10. How's this coming along? I'l definately be buying a copy if it's released.
  11. I had a zero for about 2 or 3 years, I think my stem was a little longer and lower rise than the one in the picture but worked fine for me I'm about 5'10" though. Not looked back since buying my adamant a1 (short) though. I had an echo control 1085 but found it a little hard to get used to after so long on the zero with it being so short (think it measured 1035)
  12. I have hs33's from 1998 on mine, they're water filled, have been for over 2 years and they're still fine. Has anyone water bled the echo rim brakes?
  13. Get some bearing fit (like threadlock but sets harder) from any car autofactors/ halfords. Clean any oil or grease off the splines. Put the bearing fit around all the splines and a little on the lockring threads, re fit the bashring and tighten the lockring. Leave overnight and the bearing fit will set solid and should stop any play.
  14. Cheers. Whats your postcode so I can get a route planner sorted?
