  1. hah, there it is! Was it a nine speed? or a special trials der with 5/6 speeds? ( I can't remember how many speeds was required in UCI before)
  2. the only bike i can remember it was equipped on was the Koxx Xtp V Racing.
  3. Hi! Can anyone remember the old Try-all derailleur? I can't fid it, do anyone have a picture? Thing of beauty as i rememer, would be fun to look at it again! Cheers,
  4. Too low bb will make your style worse again, im talking abot 10mm or lower. Then you can see the rider struggle with holding the balance on the rear wheel. Dave: My handlebar position is correct. I ride with Syntace VRO handlebar/stem system, so i can adjust it to my liking
  5. In the riding style i'm talking about, its not possible to use a mod. If i had rough terrain, i will allways ride over it with my 26".. But on a mod, the wheels is just to small and you lose to much momentum and balance. I would rather pogostick over a rockgarden, than to ride over one on a mod. (I have had mod for approx 2years, same style.. did not work out very well for me.)
  6. Isitafox; Im thinking about the small stuff thats between the actual obstacles. ie. roots and rocks. In the hurry, i could only find one guy riding Expert routes on youtube, he did it properly and had his wheels planted to the ground as i like, even with a high bb 24"
  7. yeah, but still, Expert is not actually the smallest stuff.. the 20" trials bike is to me useless, as i ride more than pogostick. I rest my case though, as nobody here actually seem to get what im talking about
  8. Hmm yeah, the Expert class here in norway allowes alot of "riding" over stuff if you want. Altough, 95% of the competitors will choose to sidehop it to rear, or backhop over which is imo alot harder. I'm trying out more comps next year with +25bb height and see how it works out I saw better riders than me get more dabs, just because they took the "hard way" while i just rolled over stuff.. I've also seen some british Expert comp vids, alot of backwheel hopping over small rocks, roots, low stuff etc there aswell Just the way trials is now.. As mentioned before in this thread, this only works in lower classes, Elite needs to have a bike that's stable on the rear wheel. Expert needs something in between. My experience from a few comps, and as a observer is that people tend to do it harder for themselves. Both when it comes to using energy, and using "difficult" techniques on small obstacles.
  9. Hi! I started riding trials in 2004, and i started on +0mm bb height on a 26" Racingcode. After that i tried from 10-65mm bb heights. imo, i cant really find any advantage of using a high bb bike, other than standing on the rear wheel, and hooks. Other than that i feel low bb bikes have the advantage? Gaps, rolling over stuff, balance, taps and even sidehops ( Altough to be stable on the rear wheel is sometimes very important, so a high bb frame might be better) Also in comps, i see everyone backhopping over small rocks, sidehopping up 25" stuff etc.. Why not just ride over stuff, or use a zap tap on small stuff you can get your front wheel onto? What do you other guys say?
  10. Thanks! Do you know if this is a new chain?
  11. Hey I will maybe buy a bike, my RubberQueen tyre fits exactly if the chainstay is 380mm or more. the chainstay lenght is supposed to be 380mm, but it can be adjusted to around 390mm. Do anybody know how long the chainstay needs to be with a worn/new chain with a 18-15 gear ratio? Cheers,
  12. I forgot that you can't read norwegian! Push the button that says "Stem på dette bildet" Altough, i mixed up the end dates, so it was 1month left, not 3 days left So i might not stand a chance!
  13. Hi guys! Im sorry for doing this, but i entered a contest with very low activity, and the leading pic have only 11 more votes than me! https://apps.facebook.com/breclothing/entry/614632 Please give me a vote! Cheers, Vegard
  14. Im currently 215lbs and been riding at the same level since forever. ( Gap 240cm, sidehop 110cm, tap 125cm) Koxx Karbon frame from 2007 still last good. ( TRA owned it the first year) Echo TR rim from 2010 is straight enough Rockman Lite cranks from 2010 is starting to get wobbly in the isis Because Carbon handlebars from 2010 is going strong. Nukeproof Mag/ti Neutron from 2009 pedals have started cracking Echo titanium freewheel is not even skipping after 3 years. I broke a piece of shit Neon fork after 2 years, Incredibly light but hold my weight on hooks, frenchies and batmans four times longer than i ever could imagine. Reset TI bottombracket needs new bearings after 6 months, changed three times. Now been on Trialtech lite since it came out. bearings are abit slow, but it will work 2 more years. Imo, Normal riders that break parts are doing stuff wrong, be smoother and anything with ok quality will last. My lightweight stuff have no problems supporting me.
  15. Nope. - A guy who have broken forks and stems
  16. Have had -10, 0, 10+, 15+, 25+, 35+, 45+, 55+, 60+ and 80+?? (Koxx Excessboy) I need something low, fits me and my style best. Which Cloud? I should have bought the Koxx Purple Sky when that was new, the perfect frame for me..
  17. Hi guys! I have been trying out some geo for some time now. Need a new frame asap. The geo i fit best on is: WB:1080 HA;72 CS:380 BB: 20-30 What is the closest frame to this geo? The Ozonys Cannibal is pretty close, but i dont like the looks.
  18. The strength is NOT in the clearcoat... So this is no problem Sand it down with 240-600-1500 paper. Use 240 dry at first taking off most of the material, then you use 600 and 1500wet. if the colour of your grinding dust gets black stop immediatly. its no problem if you didn't take too much of, just use a rattle can and spray over for protection. This is commonly done on road bikes. I've taken a fork before. Took like 5 hours to sand down..
  19. Thanks guys Winter now, time for a crappy car with rwd. Snowy mountains on small roads sideways and having fun Need some good light to se where the road goes
  20. What are these types of headlights called? Im thinking about the extra lights..
  21. Anyone know of a good and cheap place for some engine mods? Looking into getting some cams reground for more durations, opening up my intake, to some degree my intake ports and alot of work my exhaust ports..
  22. Jack and James are both pretty "tense" in their upper body when riding? Atleast that's my impression from these guys.
