I rode the a3 and the team for a while. A3 was pretty nice but I didn't like the high bb on the mod. Meta mod should be here by the end of the week! Should have similar geo to my older echo team which i loved. I'll keep you posted.

why would you th8ink the vid is sped up?

I've been running a try all freewheel for months now and it hasn't skipped once. I haven't had to do anything to it and so far its much better than eno's that i've used previously. My eno's would skip constantly and break pawls. So far so good on the try all...

Meta Frame, Fork, Bar, Stem: As I said when I first got this frame, I was really scared of how a 1095 frame would ride for someone my size, but after putting some time on it those fears have been put to rest. I've developed some pain in my left elbow recently and cutting the Meta bars down to 27" has definitely helped ease the pain, not to mention I have more control on the bike. I played around with a shorter stem for a while but I think the current bar/stem combo fits the bike perfectly. One thing about this frame is that it's indestructible, I honestly don't know if I could ever dent this frame, let alone break it. I've managed to break my sidehop and tap record already, still have to figure out hooks though. Blue Rock Pads: TrialsPads.com sent me some blue Rock pads not too long ago and I'm pretty impressed so far. They've been working really well in the wet and haven't shown much wear even with a few harsh grinds on the rim. Had to break them in a bit and wear off the outer layer but since then they've been great and they seem to have more bite than my old bloxx. Try All Freewheel: I'm running the 18 tooth freewheel and I've heard a lot of different opinions on these things. But personally this is probably the best freewheel I've ever ridden. It has skipped once and only once when I first got it and since then it's been really solid. Much more so than the Eno's I've used in the past. If it blows up I won't be too pleased but I really can't complain because of how perfectly it's worked up to now. Kenda Nevegal StickE front tire: I always used to think that Kendas were really grippy and when it's dry that holds true. But since we've hit the rainy season I've really noticed that this tire just doesn't grip very well when wet. It really doesn't compare to a Maxxis or Try All when it comes down to wet weather performance. I suppose the only reason I wanted to run it is because it's light. Mod is up next...

I don't think it's a big deal. Most of North America has already done this and other events such as Koxx Days are doing it as well. With the new style of riding that's going on there isn't really much of a difference between mod and stock. The pros and cons of riding each bike balance each other out, so why not just leave it up to who is the best rider.

Hey guys, I'm not too sure how it works importing frames/bikes to from Canada, but you can compare some prices on hbtrials.com. Been on the bike for a while now and things are great. Set a personal best for sidehops and taps so far and the bike is showing no signs of damage. Had some small injuries and bad weather which has slowed the filming process, but things will eventually come out. Dave

you can probably call it many things, but I was referring to this style of move, where you are on an object, essentially pulling back on the front wheel, then lunging up to rear wheel.

Did a search and didn't find anything and i don't really consider this a bike pic thread either. Built this up yesterday and got my first real ride on it today. Measured geo is 1095, 385, 40 with meta fork. Built up nicely, first bike in years that I've actually had to use a headset press. Everything seemed aligned and properly threaded for a change too. Only issue I had was that the fork was a little tight for my 2.1 Nevegal front tire. Once I trued the wheel properly then it stopped rubbing. Coming off the Bow frame which was 1085 385 30 with a 115x10 stem and a zoo bar cut to 28 and rolled forward as far as possible, the bike actually felt pretty similar. The flat bar felt slightly narrower than my zoo bar cut to the same width, but this is actually more comfortable on my wrists. Bar/stem combo definitely fits the bike. I'm running a 0.5cm spacer and it feels just about right. Feels more stable than the bow on the rear wheel and doesn't feel much longer, its actually easier to throw around with the way I have it setup. Something I noticed right away was how much better the fork felt. With the echo urban fork I was having trouble doing lunges because my front wheel would jack knife and move around too much. This fork feels so much stiffer and makes precision moves much much easier. I'm still getting used to taps with the longer wheelbase and higher bb but it's only day one on the bike so I'm sure that will change. All in all I'm pretty happy with it and amazed that of all people, I am riding a 1095 wheelbase bike. Oh and total weight of my bike is 24 lbs (bow was 23.5 due to lighter frame, urban fork, thomson stem etc). Mod was just released as well and from what I hear more products to follow. Oh and you can get a complete stock for $1500 Canadian and complete mod for $1400 Canadian.

Thanks for the comments guys. Rafal, been riding about 9 years now I think? I can never remember. I'm back on a stock now so we'll see if I can get some power moves goin again.

I've ridden mine for about a month now. They feel really good and do have more power than my regular hs33 even with an echo lever on it. I'm also running echo pads instead of rock pads now. They have a really nice look to them and the narrower slave cylinders are clever too. My only real complaint is that the lever doesn't fit my finger all that well. It's got a pretty square profile, similar to an avid vbrake lever. I'm sure some people will like that feel more than others, but I've managed to get used to it. But bottom line its more powerful so I don't really know what else there is to say. Dave
