  1. Congestion Fee? jesus, what happened to the good old days, when you were free to smash rocks to pieces with giant dinner plates as much as you liked. Crazy fascist communist dictators trying to take over the world. be charging every one per sidehop next.
  2. Hi all, Wilson cant post cos hes stuck in new members. He wants to know what he wins off you wayne! Still riding his gimp, with more style than any french sidehopping rubbish! You'll have to sort him a helmet though wayne, apparently its been abused! p.s hed like to win a new back rim!

    Bojangles

Hi, does anyone know where i could find the bojangles vid of ad wilson and craig scott?
  4. Its the way forward. Well, the way to stop going forward really...
  5. you can count me in! Last year was real blast, looking forward to more extreme riding than last year!
  6. What i said is not total garbage. try over tightening a bleed screw in a standard mugura brake lever, see what happens. the hope hub is the same but on a bigger scale.
  7. It has nothing to do with how tight the spokes are. The ratchet ring inside is screwed in on a thread. Once it hits the end stop of the hub, if it gets spun round any further, which is inevitable in trials... the the threads will simply push the hub apart. I have had this happen exactly the same on a DMR revolver hub a few years ago, but the other way round. The freewheel literally split in half over the top of the threads. My guess is that hope simply have machined away too much material. Keep building your wheels as tight as you can!! they will fall to bits otherwise... Tim
  8. Hi guys, I have to say that was the best club trial I have ridden. Great sections! its really good to see some real challenges being laid down! Great job by Patt and Dave for the setting out. Hopefully more of the same next year then guys? You can count me in to be attempting to ride em next year! The only thing that would be good to see happen differently, as Dave said at the presentation, is higher turnouts. Why arent more riders coming!? If all the other comps were similar to this one, which ive been told they were, everyone should surely have to have a real good excuse not to turn up! Spread the word guys, Next year will be awesome! Tim.
  9. Hi guys, heres a short vid of Danny Smith and I, from the riding in Poland we did. The two main places we rode were in Poznan, and at a park in Warsaw. Dan is riding a home made bodge job of a 24, which rides surprisingly well! And im on the usual Pashley 26 GHz. Simplest editing going, as im pretty new to adobe premier... But hey, its about the riding, not the editing! Go check it out! Poland.mpg Cheers, Tim Stedman
  10. Hi guys, A great vid from one of the top riders in chile. Alonso Breton Video Check it out! Tim.
  11. I'll most definately be there! Count me in!
  12. Hi Guys and Gals, Finally, after a good couple of weeks of tweaking, adjusting, and generally changing stuff round, I can finally Launch my new website! www.TimStedman.com Its got my latest Pashley video up there, and some of my much older vids. Theres some great pics up there too, including a few old skool pre pashley pics! If you have any constructive comments on how you think it could be improved, please feel free to mention them, and I'll see what I can do! Thanks, Tim.

    Kot Ms2

Have you checked your hub axle, because if thats broken, it can cause similar problems to what you're describing.
  14. Im running a 118 truvativ gigapipe DH on mine, clears fine. On the older versions it may not clear, but it definately will on all the new ones. Tim.
  15. Not necesarilly, when I was first riding trials, I rode on a standard mountain bike, and used my outer chainring as a bashguard! No modifications at all!
  16. Yeah, it was similar to the bike battle, but not quite as big. The comp was happening as part of the celebrations for the city of Riga's birthday. there were many festivities happening all through the week, and the freestyle trial comp was just part of it all. There were two classes; A pro invitation class, and an amateur class. Everybody had a two minute qualifying run, and then the top six from each class went through to their respective finals. The top three from the amatuers won prizes, and the top six invitation riders won cash prizes. Everyone was judged on 5 different criteria, being; use of the course, difficulty of moves, magnitude of moves, style, and something else that I cant quite remember! I met Kristaps Skudra (latvian no.1 and the competition organizer) while I was out in czech republic. He asked me if I would like to ride the freestyle comp, and I said yes, nothing more to it really! Im not sure about vids, I havn't found any yet, but I'll post them as soon I do find some.
  17. Just thought id share a couple of websites that have some pics of the freestyle comp on them. Dont worry about not being able to understand Russian, or Latvian, hopefully the pics can speak for themselves! http://www.apollo.lv/portal/galery/49715 I know theres only 1 pic on that link, but the other pics give you an idea of what else was going on near us while our event was happening. http://www.trialbikes.ru/tn.php Some good pics on that one... check out the damage to my front wheel after messing up a 360 off the highest tower - about 8 feet up I think. If I find any vids, I'll post them up. Overall, in the Pro invitation class, Stefan Pcola won, I came second, and Josef Dressler came third. Cheers, Tim.
  18. Haha, Im sure ive learnt my lesson from that, I needed to hit it a little faster with stronger bars! Anyway, only injuries were grazes on my elbow, knee and little finger. Nothing worse luckily.
  19. Just a short crash vid from the Bristol ride on Friday. Tried jumping the big set of steps at castle park, but the bars snapped... Check it out. http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bike-tria...tedmanbails.wmv Tim.
  20. Thanks for the positive replies everyone, I hope its been worth the wait! Someday in the not too distant future there should be an update to the whole TV Series website, which im sure you'll all agree, is well overdue! So keep your eyes peeled chaps... In answer to the helmet question - its a california pro I think, circa 2001, with a load of stickers i got free from a bike mag. Cheers, Tim.
  21. with a bit of luck, i should be there ploughing into some rocks.
  22. whats even madder... is that Dani Comas did a whole lap in elite for 4!!!
  23. How about a pashley 26GHz? Decent strangth, and not too hefty. wheelbase of about 1035, with pashley forks. spot on if you want a shorter bike thats going to last... and last... and last! You cant beat the feel of quality steel too, Its much more forgiving than alu frames. worth looking into if youre after a street bike anyway. Tim.
  24. Well done to aran for winning! I managaed some absolute scorching sections on the top, but I just couldnt cope with all the mud at the bottom! I managed to clean section 8 in just 22 seconds! Not sure where i finished, but it was somewhere in the middle i think, on 59, I thought it was a pretty good day over all, I really liked the sections, there was plenty of hard stuff, and some nice easy stuff to get you moving. shame about the rain, but that just makes it a bit more interesting i spose. Bring on the next round at addingham! Tim.
  25. im still not recovered from doing both the tyketrial, and the wemcc in succession! looking back, it was a bit silly, but it was definately well worth it! I was impressed with the sections, they all seemed rideable, its just a shame i was so damn tired. Im not sure about the way it was run, going round with an observer, it seemed a pretty slow way of doing things with a decent turnout. maybe it could be run a bit more normally next time. i managed 800 miles in around 36 hours over the two days, well worth it though. two good trials at two very good venues. Tim.
