  1. Maha! Landing on his belly on the seat. That was quite surreal.
  2. That's a smart looking site!

    Gears!

I've got an ONZA short cage rear mech and I recommend it! (It's much better than the XT one I used to have). It's INCREDIBLY short, and cheap, and the springs are nice and firm. Got it off Tarty.
  4. I'm still running a rear DT Hugi hub! and I have the same problem (but with an 8 speed cassette). i use some bit molegrips on the freehub body and twist the cassette off with a chain whip tool.
  5. I think they only came in that one burgundy? colour.
  6. £450 is WAYYYYYYYY to much. And they weren't very popular frames so finding one second hand will be hard. Ebay or here will be your best bets, patience is needed.
  7. I got me one of them! Don't sell it, get out and ride it!!
  8. Hmmm, I see your point... Maybe I was being slight narrow minded. I suppose the thing that set me off was seeing that someone was selling some rim tape for 50p lol.
  9. Quite the opposite. I rarely used to get pocket money, started working at 14 and started paying rent the day i turned 16. I've worked incredibly hard to get where I am today thanks. So you are therefore incredibly wrong in your assumptions.
  10. Just out of interest, why do you lot bother selling stuff as cheap as a fiver or less? Surely the hassle of packing it and posting it is not worth it? I would personally just keep the part for spares or chuck/give it away.
  11. My first 'trials' bike was a GT timberline
  12. Adidas trakkies and random tshirts... and possibly some sort of hat.
  13. Surely that isn't 100% the truth...?
  14. I agree with the point that it should be about riding and not English skills. I always thought validation was to prevent "rogue" people using the forum, ie, scammers, offensive people, etc. If someone is a trials rider and has a keen interest, then they should be validated in my opinion.
  15. I don't, and never have, owned hydrolics... but SURELY water bleeds will FREEZE during the winter?!?
  16. What is it that keeps us "old-school" trials riders riding "old-school" setups? My reasons are 2-fold - 1. I get stuck in my ways very easily and scared of change. 2. I like riding what looks like a "normal" bike to the general public and doing tricks that they wouldn't expect from a normal bike. People must see modern trials bikes and think "ooh I bet he can do some well good stuff on that cos it's a well good looking bike blud" and EXPECT good riding. Discuss...
  17. Fair point. Edit: Oh! I'm a full member now! But don't worry, I'm not gonna preach on how to become one (I'll leave it for the other pre-members to do, lol).
  18. I didn't do that though. And to be honest, I'm really not fussed about being validated. People are so 'high and mighty' on this forum and it does my nut.
  19. Standard reply #1 Problem solved, I just spotted his Hotmail address in his signature.Cheers.
