those brake adapters are ok, not if you want a quiet brake though. i would advise some better pads that those recommended by alex. have you tryed using tar? that will improve them at the moment...

ermm didnt you just say a con of having a water bleed lol.

they break the 4 prongs off. its because the backings are made of a harder metal than the cylinders and the softer metal will take the majority of strain of braking forces and therefore bend and snap off. hope that made sense?

actually deng does make good cranks. mine havnt broke/failed in some way, and im really harsh on stuff. my mates hasnt broke/failed in some way.
