  1. I have a mix of SLX and XT, SLX cranks with some Raceface arm boots, BlackSpire bash and XT rings, SRAM PC1091 chain and XT rear mech, with XT shifters and cheapy clarks cables. My cranks take a hammering, no point in putting XT on it just to watch it get battered. I would stick the full SLX and an XT rear mech if I wanted a fun, bashable bike and couldn't afford to replace XT. I one did a rear mech, a shifter, an outer ring, a brake lever and a set of bars in a week over three rides. Then my hubs filled with water, my Hope seat post cracked and one of my grips slipped off and I destroyed a few of my friends when I endo'd at the front of a pack and took out 7 bikes the next week. But when you work at a Concept Store and buy everything at trade it doesnt matter lol. We used to get paid to just ride nice bikes and be social guys, working our way into a circle of friends and upselling them lol.
  2. Truvativ is shit, I would have Shimano ANY day. Truvativ Bb's are the biggest load of bollocks ever, if you would like me to get into the explanation of why then I happily will. But one of the major points is they are only sealed on one side. Shimano rings are simply the best, I know some people get on their high horse over Shimano's monopoly and their high prices but you just can't beat them. And trust me, i know If you can't afford Shimano rings, you don't deserve to be riding a Jekyll. My vote for Shimano -

    Tablets

    Hai guys. I would like a tablet, I want to watch Iplayer on it, listen to spotify/music and would like it to be smooth and fast in operation. Looking to spend £150, not sure if I can get what I want for that money and if I can then any reccomendations? What should I be looking out for? Sorry if this has been covered else where. X

    Creatine

    Back when I was racing XC I took a decent amount of creatine (will confirm how much later when I see how much the scoop is) and found that I didn't get any muscle growth as such but found that it was much harder to get cramp, my recovery improved ten fold, and despite having to burn off a bit of water weight from it I think it was the healthiest and best my body has ever been. The energy I had during that time was really explosive, but I had stamina to go with it. I could do an entire XC race at a sprint and found it made a real difference the next day too, with good stretching and a lengthy warm down I never felt stiff and immobile the next day. When I stopped racing and carried on taking it though...I just got fat. Part of me wondered if it was a placebo, because when I first started taking it (even during load phase) I trained much harder expecting to to make a difference and testing the new product. So it might have been the difference in training that made the real effect. But either way I felt everything it said on the box.

  16. I am confused in what context you are saying 26 miles in 3 hours whatever? Do you mean like running or something? Because even on a full susser I would smash the shit out of 26 miles in like two hours out on the moors. Literally, properly confused.
  17. I have done 26 miles in 3 and a half hours on my road bike, I did 105 miles in 5 hours 44 once upon a time. Dartmoor classic ***. Yeah man, new focus is to lift as much weight as possible as many times as possible. Gym tonight!

  19. Haha! Biceps are ok, the rest needs a lot of work as I just haven't got any defined groups at all! As I said I used to train for XC racing so I was super lean, I used to be 11st at 6ft so my BF was super low. I have been doing 20 bench pushes with a 15kg bell in each hand and switching back and forwards from curls and through other pushes and pulls. That should sort my chest out, for my shoulders I have been doing pull ups from one of those door frame bars. But can anybody reccomend something I can do with my dumbells to get on my shoulders/chest? My legs are f**king epic though, I have mahoosive thighs and calfs for my frame.

  22. Have started training again properly, am just feeling the end of the loading phase of creatine in a big way. Last time I trained it was for cycling and XC racing so I only focused on cardio and getting super lean and powerful, this time I just want to bulk up, get some rip and get defined groups. Much to my suprise I have gone straight back in at 15kg dumbells and just gone up to 20kg a piece. I have been focusing on curls, hammers and forward rolls, with 20 situps every hour during the day, an hour and a half of weights every night and a 20mins mix of curls, sits and reverse hammers to wake me up in the morning. I have replaced my lunch with a turkey salad and started taking 5g of creatamax in my tea, consuming 20g a day. Feeling it already, I have done 5 days of a pretty hard routine so will have a rest day on Sunday then get straight back on it. I have done myself a 21 day plan, so if it isn't too gay I will post a day "now" photo and one a week for the next three?

No boys and girls, Andy's problem is that if he doesn't shag 7 new birds 7 times a week he feels he has failed in life and has to get drunk and bake cakes.
