  1. Early spring- So not long from now- I am working on shipping logistics, and finishing up the frames. Paint ideas? talk amongst yourselves...
  2. um... Tig welding....ha? f**king grammer..... anyway- Tig welding is the most common method for welding together aluminum frames, if you have the chance to learn it I would highly recommend it. But I would also suggest learning all of the processes available to you, as each method has it's own place.
  3. try this: http://picasaweb.google.com/44cycles/NewFo...feat=directlink
  4. Just a little bike porn for you:
  5. The fellow who has it, registered his site before me and had the name trademarked in the US. So... 44trials can squeak through but might run into legal hassles down the road...
  6. it's coming! What's even better is we have the welding dialed in- they look sweet! The name idea on the table at the moment is: CAELIFERA- modesl 44twentysix and 44twenty- Same decals with a little added text- no fuss- no muss!
  7. Joey you are more than welcome to email me- in fact you can email me right from this forum. We are still on the hunt for a name, and hoping to have it resolved by next week. On another note- Brewer hasn't made a peep- so there is another stock slot open, sorry Joe- I think there is one or two mod slots open. The first frame is welded, and aligned.
  8. I would prefer to move towards something else all together. The model name will stay the same, but the rest will require work to develop a cohesive look. Similar amount of work either way- I had my doubts about the name 44 along the way, but was knee deep. If ever was the time for a fresh approach, that time is now- I plan to take advantage.
  9. It has come to my attention that there is a small bike company that has already made claim to the name 44. After a few long conversations with the guy and many internal conversations, I am going to change the company name. This in no way changes the nature of this project or the time line. This only effects the name and the branding- I do however need a new name... I have a number of them that I am working on, but I am open to ideas.
  10. Now we're talking! I'l give Joe until Sunday to get in touch, and if not you're on.
  11. Leon- it was lookin' a little dicey there for awhile... I think you're in- Anyone who feels strongly the other way best make some noise now or forever keep there pie hole shut. This leaves two slots open on the mod I think... I haven't heard anything from Joe Brewer, so that might mean a stock slot opens.
  12. The plan is to begin in early spring.
  13. If you can sort it such that there isn't much shipping cost, that seems like a good way to go.
  14. That's a fantastic idea Rob! Honestly I do not know the UK well enough. Feel free to arrange appropriately.
  15. Ashley-Wood, welcome aboard. Thank you for making a better effort, keep working at it. Be thankful you have some good mates.
  16. Good- Ozzy you're on- Comp's and Natural- now that's the my kind of language!
  17. Mod or Stock? Anyone vouch for Ozzy?
  18. One bike per person- The Stock frame has 135mm Vertical dropouts. (will come with Yess tensioner) The Mod frame has 110mm Horizontal dropouts (has integral tensioner)
  19. People are only required to pay for the shipping to themselves. I am working on trying to establish a flat fee for everyone. Having a complete list would help. The list as it stands now is not the order in which it will move about the world. The order will not be established until the list is complete. There will be some sharing of the frames. There is only one Mod. And Australia and Europe have too few riders for their own. Don't assume that you cannot afford it, wait until the price is established, if at that time you still feel the same, then we will try and work something out.
  20. My bad! So that's it- Stock is Full.
  21. Word to the wise: There is very little chance that I am going to ask people, that can't compose a sentence or take the time to hit "spell check", to participate and give feedback. Take a moment to look at the posts by the people who are on the list. The majority make well composed, intelligent posts. The very few on the list that post gibberish, aren't doing so in this thread any longer. On an impersonal forum such as this, our word is all we have. If you want me to take you at your word. Take a moment and think about what you are writing. Mr. Ashley-Wood, I have it on good authority that you are a good guy, but if I was to make a guess based upon that last post, I might think that you are either 10 years old, or you have sustained a terrible head wound.
  22. Now that's what I'm talking about! Way to reach out and help a brother out. Matt Burrows: welcome aboard!
