  1. Get it sand blasted; http://www.yell.com Nitromoors will work, but will take an age. Then prime, paint, clear coat. A few thin coats, leave it for a week to harden. Better still, get it powdercoated but watch out for baking it, if it's too hot it will bugger the ally.
  2. A small zip-tie to stop the tensioner wanging the dropout. Cost; £0.01.
  3. Even though his response may have seemed maliciously intended, it really wasn't. Unfortunatley it's reality. Customers are arses, and working in retail is tough. Never get too friendly with the customer. I know that possibly in this line of business dealing with such a specific market it could help, but it is slightly un-professional, and no customer likes a suck-up. Remember, the customer pays your wages, and is always right. Selling specific bicycle components is a rather niche market, and with a number of very good, well established, similar leading companies out there already it will undoubtably be tough at times. What you need is to offer something that no other company already has, and not just better prices and offers. We see where you're coming from the low-cost website, and yes it will keep costs down but it does definately need work! Even though you don't have a reputation built yet, you need to start off with a bang to attract customers initially. The site doesn't help unfortunately. There is no suprise and delight! I don't know why people are faffing about telephone numbers to be honest. It's great to be able to talk directly to the seller, but these days people rather buying online, punching in their card numbers and a few days later they get it in the post. Saves a lot of effort fannying about on the blower. Have you looked into getting an 0845 number? You can get them with an automated switchboard for free and will re-direct to a landline or mobile. This forum has VERY biast opinions, and there are a lot of people out to slate you. They don't care, why should they? They are never going to meet you. Be carefull what you post on here relating to business. Nevertheless, if I saw a component on your site cheaper than everywhere else, I would buy it, but strictly only because of price.
  4. 85% of new businesses fail within the first five years. edit: freewebs.com hosting? You can not be serious.
  5. Are pet monkeys legal in the UK? How would you go about getting one?
  6. I used to walk to the train station, it was ok. Then I used to ride my old BMX with one gear to the train station, that was faster. Then I rode my old XC bike with 21 gears to the train station, that was an improvement over the BMX, tenfold. Now I walk. Point of this story; get the bus.
  7. He needs a chinstrap for that cap to keep it on.
  8. Does it run well when it's started? Check those injectors, even if they "look" ok, that doesn't mean anything. They need to be tested, or source some other ones from a breakers to test it (they'll be around £150-200 each new probably). Other than that, fuel pressure regulator at the end of the fuel rail? Not letting the rail get up to full pressure (around 3,000 bar, that's 44,000 psi btw). Check those glow plugs again too.
  9. 我知道你意味着一些人真的愚蠢的。在一家自行商店生?
  10. Finally a sensible reply from trials pimp there. Pretty much ignore all the other advice. Did you hear any noises from the engine when it cut out? At 2500 rpm, if the belt went, you'd be wanging valves into the top of your pistons and would have bent them or sent them through the top of your pistons. The latter is pretty unlikely, but I have actually been in a diesel engined car when the cam belt has snapped just pulling away from a set of traffic lights, and it bent two valves into a nice S shape, I have a great picture actually. The top of one of the pistons was pretty marked but we just whipped the head off and replaced the guides and the two valves and the belt and been running fine for probably about 10,000 miles since. It's probably more likely to be fuel. Did you know that the fuel rail runs at around 44,000 psi? If you see a leak, don't be tempted to put your finger over it Get it to a dealers or somewhere with a diagnostic tool. It could be the fuel pump, or the regulator not allowing the rail to reach full pressure even. Unlikely to be an injector as it would still run on three. Good luck.
  11. Yeah man for sure, reminds me, I must go and shave my pubes.
  12. Haha, just eating chicken kiev actually. Like zis?
  13. Gaz, I had nothing better to do. Lowered, fog light gone, hosepipe gone, mirror messed with, fiddled with the colour... Do it, do it now.
  14. And the BB7 wasn't amazing before? Someone obviously needs to take lessons in how to set up thier bike.
  15. Dan Ko mucked me around when I wanted to buy a Viz rim. I sent the cheque but he didn't have them in stock and it took a few months to get the cheque back.
  16. Nothing stupid about this thread. If he want's to stretch it, let him. I stretched mine and since I've never had any skipping problems. You don't need one of those special hub tools either, just a good quality drift and a soft mallet to attack the bearing from the other side. It's a high tensile spring and It's a tough one to stretch, in addition don't stretch it too much because it will snap if you go too far. Go easy and re-assemble it with a mix of both Finishline Wet XC and WD40 on the helix and only a touch on the ring drive. Good luck.
  17. I was f**ked over by Dan Ko a long time ago, don't go there.
  18. Nothing gets lost in the post these days. You have been SCAMMED. Gutted.
  19. Could be a plan, that Black guy is kinda annoying though. Yeah havn't seen that before, a friend said it wasn't all that good, I have got it though but havn't watched it yet. Pulp Fiction could be a good one yes. You saand lik your from lundaaahn. Watched that only the other day, it's a good one!

  22. That kid should really learn how to grind. Bike looks fairly fit though.
  23. Why does my wireless break connection with my router about every 5/10 mins on one laptop, but on the other one it stays connected for ever? In addition; it only does it on this laptop using one particular router, and the laptops audio is badly affected aswell even when playing a CD in WMP the sound is all jumpy, only on this laptop when the wireless is turned on! Can't get my head around it.
