  1. indeed it has my mate won the f**king revel 20" so jealous it is untrue. he went on all day about how he was going to win it and he did we stood in amazement lol. just uploaded a few more photos into the gallery.
  2. quality day some of the riding was shocking. cesar canas was on shit hot form he just makes everything look so easy. benito looked good as well. cesar just seemed to pick such better easier lines, whereas benito went into obsticles all guns blazing. i still think benito is the better rider but he just lacks the technical ability of cesar and his very loud minder. comas also impressed me alot. they are just so gifted. some of the sidehops were huge. i didnt see much 26" as most of the major sections seemed to be 20"? the worst bit was seeing a kid no older than 12 who was f**king shockingly good just thinking what he will be like in a few years time. hermance easily one 26" seemed to breeze through sections almost in a class of his own. chris doney was the only uk member to win so big well done to him. and some of the japanese riders where amazing, keito has some power behind him and the others seem very skillful. also good to see the two martyn's riding they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Was great to see ot pi acting like some huge refrence book telling all the monty riders like cesar which lines to take. proper legend elite 20" 1) cesar canas 2) benito ross 3) dani comas
  3. you get off at steeton and silsden then you head in the direction of silsden (over the round about) cycles all the way to the top of silsden then take a right off where the road bends to the left. continue up that road past the caravan site take the next right then it is along there on your left. realistically it isnt a short ride probably bout 3 miles all up hill. but it is worth it. to be honest not sure about the camp site think most people will be heading home :)
  4. i had 12 1 hour lessons 2 of them on the day of the test. spent a fair bit of time with my parents. came fairly naturally though. like everything practice makes perfect
  5. went up shipley glen yesterday and some of the riding was amazing, hermance is shockingly good and his balance is amazing. he made a fairly large gap (think 9 foot wide and 4 foot drop) with such a bad take off it was untrue and about a 30 foot drop down a cliff below without even standing to look at it first. i got shit scared just looking at it! also his run ups are so short! comas and canas make everything look so easy. really shocking to see some of the riding and the control they have is amazing. sidehops are huge and so controlled. savage was looking proper good as well hopefully he should ride well on sunday. there was loads of other spanish and japanese/chinese riders who where looking good. it was strange for me seeing so many good riders and half of them i didnt even know who they were but they were f**kin good. even ot pi was there watching (N) can't wait now

    Pad Reviews

Pads: plaz crm's Time used: month Rim used: Onza 20" ronnie Grind: Yes and no Ceramic: No Brake used: Magura simply the best brake i have used for bite. i read this topic about a month ago i couldnt decide between these and koxx bloc's, what a good decision for these in the end. with a grind these are amazing lock as amazing. not great for modulation as bite is so vicous. i used to use tar all the time now it just isnt needed :S saying that though in the wet they are not the best and without a grind they were very poor. awsome summer pads with good wear and great bite. highly recommended
  7. school holidays and the fact i live here means i will be riding both days. give me a buzz where you will be riding but shipley glen is a must
  8. haha think i may have spoke to soon, riding around at the local park / skatepark and somehow a silver camper van has managed to find its way into the park (locked gates at both ends (Y) happened to be a load of japanese/chinese trials riders looking for the camping site. giving directions is not the easiest of task especially when they struggled to understand. made me proper excited though, looking forward to see them riding round town. :)

    Sponsorship

not if the person they are sponsoring is being used to open up a new area of sales to a whole new group of people. they hope it will encourage more females to ride and therefore have more customers. simple marketing, also there is nothing to say the best riders should be sponsored, sponorship is for the people who best endorce a company be that with there approach, communication skills, or reputation plus there ability. it is no use sponsoring a complete wanker even if they are good as it is not the right image for many company's.
  10. where you coming from ? i live in skipton so i will be fine giving directions presuming your coming from the south so choose if you are coming leeds or bradford way and then i will give you them from there. bradford way is the better way btw also anyone up for riding round the local area be quality to see lots of people out. btw good job with the signpost just driven home from school and they are everywhere around the auction mart. can't wait now :)
  11. i get a little creek when it wobbles so might be the same just be interested to find out to be honest. was mega irritating to start with but now just seems normal.
  12. im the person with the wobbly echo teams. nope isnt the head tube being too long i got a space on top of my stem to sort that out. not that problem. not really too bad a wobble but deffinately noticable. had the headset fitted at the local bike shop so that shouldnt be the problem, just seems that they have a little niggling wobble. nobody can seem to find whats up with it either. to be honest have got used to it,so not too bother just interested to see if anybody has any ideas ?

    Back Breaker...

i have the same bike and i had problems with my brake. i just couldnt get it to clamp around the magura piston tight enough. gave it a whole load of torque and snapped the bolt leaving a headless thread in the frame. had to drill the out which was an arse. i think i have solved it now though. on the magura clamp i filled off the little stopper (bout 2mm of metal between the clamps) so that i can tighten the clamp up until it actually clamps the magura piston not just touch the other mount. works fine now  not sure if your problem is the same thought it sounded quite similar .
  14. im not bitching i just dont see the point, it isnt like you can reap the benefit on uk roads. also the thing is if you can turn a 2 litre engine into that imagine what you can pump out of a 4 litre 2 seater weighing considerably less, the FQ400 needs servicing shockingly frequently so what is the point in working an engine even harder. dont get me wrong i love evo's however i dont see the point in fettling with them especially when you make them look even worse. each to there own i suppose :turned:
  15. evo are damn nice cars but they are hardly nice to look at, but that sure ain't an improvement. it looks ugly as sin. it looks like a car that you find in your local carpark at 12 on a friday and saturday night trying to impress 12 year old girls by doing handbrake turns. fair enough im all for tuning a f**king quick car but jesus that looks shocking. also how many people who could afford a car like that are actually going to waste money on something that looks boy racerish to f**k, i think more would buy a merc an audi or a tvr... i know where my money would be going if had enough cash and it sure as hell wouldn't be a bodykitted evo pumping out a rediculous amount of horsepower.... it would be one of these
  16. spec wise looks very similar to mine! how you like it. mine seems a wee heavy at the front compared to older ones but otherwise it rides like a dream
  17. not riden there but around the exhibition centre looks ok, not so sure if it is that good. have seen a few trials riders plodding around while i was there though. been meaning to go for a while now, shame shitty exams are on monday means im starting revision tomorrow. anyway if you go tell us if its any good as don't want to waste time going if it is shit.
  18. the whole sponging off the economy is a total load of bollocks. you will find that in the uk we have only 8% of 'immigrants' yet these people contribute 10% to gdp. the whole argument that they sponge off the economy is shit. they generally take the low paid jobs that we feel we are to good for and nobody wants. also the argument that religious symbols are taken away from hospitals is a sign of the times. how many people in the uk actively go to church or even follow a religion, it is certainly declining. it isnt the foreign immigrants demanding that they are taken away, just a simple sign that we are a multiracial and multi religion country and every member of society deserves the same right. look at it this way if you want to move to spain you feel that you would have no problem moving there, it is your right to be allowed. it is so hypocritical that 1000's of people emmigrate and we see it as the norm, like we are superior so should be allowed, yet when somebody tries to come here you all get on your high horse.

    Help Needed

right got new forks yesterday came fitted with star nut though nice and dandy. done the top bolt up and it has just pulled at it out of the fork. bit annoyed at that. so go and try to fit another and it has a really narrow diamater compared to the diameter of the star nut. so basically it wont fit and if i do ram it in it will be so bent that it wont work. are there any other options hope head doctor ? are they any good? can you get smaller star nuts?
