  1. just successfully overbled my brake, take that thin rim syndrome

  2. I like how you said "crack inspection" as if it took more than 0.2 seconds to spot that thing.
  3. For those over 18, free can of Morgans Spiced and Coke on their website, get on it

    1. FINDUS

      FINDUS

printers at the ready and works a treat :)

  4. Unfortunately it's in Leeds, and I won\t be there for another month or so, if I remember I'll whack some up.
  5. No idea, it came on a wheelset I bought but wouldn't fit at all with my new chain. Not saying the sprockets are bad or anything, it was a brand new chain and an old sprocket.
  6. I clearly own the only worn out Surly sprocket in the world then
  7. Maybe the reason why Magura are behind Hope/Avid/Hayes in the disc brake market is because they test all their stuff in totally asinine ways instead of making brakes out of it and testing them. The horse one makes no sense at all as they've already proved it's stronger than steel apparently, and steel does a fine job at horse shoes now, so I'm not sure exactly what that proved except it's still as strong as steel. Good to know I can put my brakes in an oven/freezer though.
  8. Cross threaded then, just do the same thing. There's a tutorial in the wiki that explains it more in depth, but it's really not difficult.
  9. Take off the lever blade and the red plastic thing, then remove the bit inside the lever blade thats snapped and stick a M5 bolt through the threaded hole on the adjuster where the red bit was, job done. You can be fancy and grind a slot in it so it's the same as the old one, but it works perfectly fine as just a bolt.
  10. They work, but all the ones I've seen have been total naff quality.
  11. Use tar, fizzy drinks and stuff on your rim is horrific, there's a reason why tar is so popular.
  12. Splined, hence the splines and the fact that Tarty Bikes told you that, where exactly are the threads you think the sprocket will screw on to?
  13. I remember the days when people said I wouldn't be able to ride my 1065mm Levelboss very well because it was massively long.
  14. Won't be able to make it to Southend/London now, £33 left in the bank account with £260 rent due in 2 weeks and no job
  15. Local guys who bought a bike years ago hoping to get into the sport, never really got too far with it and now have a trials bike cluttering up the garage so they want rid.
  16. They had a bonded steerer too (I think), which is where they will probably snap. Not as strong as Urbans anyway.
  17. I bought a standard spec T-Mag for £40 and later sold it for £60. £80 isn't outrageous at all.
  18. Yeah, weigh next to nothing and snap horrendously easy.
  19. Mines just Inspired geo, I'll go measure it up now and see how accurate it is. I need to whack up some updated pictures anyway, it looks miles different to last time. In terms of tyre clearance there's loads, my mate couldn't fit his 2.7" High Roller in, but there's loads of room for my 2.4" Holy Roller. Edit: Just measured the chainstay length, reach and wheelbase, and compared to the figures on the Tarty Bikes site the frame is 100% bang on to the millimetre, 385mm chainstays, 650mm reach, 1030mm wheelbase. There's also about 10mm or so or clearance either side of the tyre.
  20. Craig Lee Scott (Mod rider, used to ride for Zoo, dunno if he still rides at all) If I Recall Correctly
  21. I'm calling the people who pay over the odds for them fashion victims Especially since CLS had one at one point IIRC and loads of northern wannabes bought them all up. Colours are overrated anyway, all black, white and silver > *
  22. Fashion victims and they aren't as common because they haven't been popular as a colour for nearly 10 years now people have started colour coordinating their bikes. 04 levers are much nicer than 05 levers in my opinion, just don't be a flid and overtighten the TPA and you'll be fine.
