  13. u dont need a welder theres only two tools neede in life for rverything. gaffer tape and wd40. if it moves and it shouldnt gaffer tape it. if it should move and it doesny. drown it in wd 40. i think this one's a case for the gaffer tape. on a serious note i think mini bodies are steel? correcr me if im wrong so a stanfard mig welder should do the job.
  14. for an electrician which im doing is 4 year. if your paying the fees its 3 terms. thats 1500 quid a year over 4 years thats 6 thousand pounds. thats alot when you could do it free. also as a first year apprentice youd be on same money as evans im on around 10 k a year. i love my jobs its fun doing marinas and sites.
  15. seriously u ant jut walk into an apprenticeship. and if you do an apprenticeship you still have to go to college as experience means nothing now days with out the little bits of paper sayin you did it at college. also nowhere will take you as an apprentice if your over 18 as then youd have to pay for your college tuition 500 pounds a term for apprentice electrician. o well enjoy evans for the first month and after that month you will think shit what a mistake ive made. leave evans. go to college. you can enroll free unill your 19.
  16. seriously do you know hoew hard it is to find an apprenticeship. u cant do n appreniceship with a do it all man as o get on the college course the employer must have all the relevant qualifications (not just experience. i did college for a year at 16 i did engineering it was boring. i quit after a year of the 2 year course and left college with nothing so in effect a wasted year. i got a job on crap money. but then i looked at everything seriously. i have 10 gcse's. i spent 14 months trying to find an employer to do an apprenticeship of any kind with. im now an apprentice electrician. i earn around 10 k a year and im in my first year.think about it dont waste 2 or 3 years earning crap wages and getting no qualifications
  17. dont give up riding especially if its your only hobby. i did a quite demanding course at college and it was good to just get on my bike and chill pout with mates. Put the time in at college but keep riding as a way to chill out something different.
  18. im starting my electrical apprenticeship in september. i started working for the company im doing it with in january but it was too late for me to get on the course so until september im just learning the basics. in september ill be doing block release at college. 6 weeks working then 3 weeks at college. i cant wait. my apprentceship is four years long butafter that providing i pass i will be a fully qualified electrician. i work away all over the country. i live in skegness and haver been all over scotland, ireland, wales, cornwall all over im away from home all week every week and i love it. all meals and b and b's paid for. i did engineering at college but dropped out after a year. if you hate being stuck in classroom then an apprenticeship of any kind is the way forward. if you need any advice drop me a p.m. hope this helps
