  1. Get profile cranks with a solid titanium spindle. Great riding and your cranks suck if they break doing that. Bike parts are meant to be ridden on, if they break they suck simple as that. i hate the whole your "misusing it" argument. I had one set of isis bb and snapped in 180ing a small 6 set. Isis sucks. Been using my solid ti/profiles for 4 years and counting.
  2. +95?? hold on a sec... well first off I owned one and it was +65 Look right here. totally different bb rise... same frame http://www.biketrialseller.com/product/571 My because simpie had a +65 and the bionic frame is lower than that one. People can't measure geo hahaha. Actually measure your bottom bracket height, I never ever use stated geometry. The bb is really normal height on the bionic b5r. So I would say no it won't effect your riding. However bb height does a trade off basically... you trade power for control. A low bb is better control, a high bb you can transfer more power into moves. You can always balance a high bb with high bars. So the only difference in the end is your center of gravity is higher. I would say balance is the key, get one with a normal height.
  3. yes i understand the physics behind it it just looks really cool. When you transfer bike momentum to body momentum back to bike it makes a really cool effect cause it looks like you eliminated the momentum.
  4. yeah it might be how people do things. My bike spins out of manuels amazingly, it would be really fun to swap bikes sometime. I rode an inspired but I didn't really know how to set up the geo properly cause it was the only 24 I had. I have no clue what is a good bar height and all that so I just went off feel, but thats a bad idea cause "feel" is just what your used to and that could be basically anything. From what I found about 24s is they feel A LOT more in control. Doing a big drop feels sooo much safer. 24s also spin so much better than 26" but I still found the 24 to not have enough manuever for my liking. This is why I think a 22" bike would be the ultimate bike. Perfect balance of manuever and control. Mods are a a bit to little control, and 24s seemed to have a not quite enough maneuver. Of course you can go big on a 20" its not fun you have to land perfectly where as on a 24 you can hop down a big ledge all day long and land horribly without it being scary at all. I rode my friends inspired recently and it felt great, I can do most the same tricks I can on my mod but it takes a lot more effort. 24" makes more sense than 26" to me. You gain 40000 tricks and loose like 2 inches off your maximum height hop.
  5. I thought the video was really really awesome. He was the first rider I saw to do all the spin stuff on a mod and got me into mods back in the day. The rear tire spins are fantastic! Biggest spin I have ever seen before him was a 540, he did a 1080. My best ever was a 900. I thought the atmosphere of the video was really nice too. I actually really love his style. Its such a cool kind of flow. It looks fake/out of this world. He will just come to a dead stop then out of nowhere spin a 720 where as most other spinner styles rely heavily on momentum. You got to pay more attention to detail. For example I bet most of you didn't notice the tree he walltapped was over vertical. I think static walltaps are the coolest looking thing ever, it looks like he just shot up the wall for no reason. Find me a better video of someone doing 1080 rear wheel spins and static wall taps on over vertical walls.
  6. hmm my current bike is 15mm lower bb than my old because simple frame. its a very low bb, lower than my friends bmx bb but it defiately wallrides and manuels great. Getting the right mod stem matters a lot too, the main reason you don't get pop is cause the stem is too long and has too much leverage and the fork has too much rake and headtube is too shallow. Getting a steeper headtube like on my designed frame, lower rake fork, and mid sized steeper stem (trialtech sport) will fix all that. I don't find the bb height matters that much. If you lower the bb but keep the same bar height then it will mess u up, but whenever I lower or raise the bb I also raise and lower the bars accordingly. These things are readily and easily available on the market for 24s and 26s. My friedns who are all bmxers can do literally every single trick on my mod that they can do on a bmx some even better. (they are all pegless) and now they are switching to mods. The question is does my mod ride trials well? I hope so hahaha, I can do all the standard trials stuff on it but I would like to see a pro test ride it sometime. Its only 19lb the entire bike. They should be able to ride it... dual rim brakes, 19" wheel, mod stem, etc etc its a pretty standard mod with slightly shorter geo.
  7. they are awesome, the main reason is because the stuff on the market is too weak and long. Shorter geo mods are the best idea ever. With a few small modifications you can make a mod super super street compatible and still have it great for trials. The market does not support anything on mods other than TGS which sucks... Their is literally only 1 mod fork you can use and it went out of production 5 years ago. Everything else just snaps. Is their a single 19" slick tire?.. nope.. The main problem is the mod frame... their isn't many good frames out there for street that can take the abuse of hard spin tricks. I have designed one and its really great, hopefully it will be mass produced so you can buy them for cheap.
  8. I already emailed them they are sold out, anyone know where else I can get them? I will buy yours I am interested can I pay by paypal?
  9. all to be good its like practicing piano. back in the day I used to ride trials with a bunch of other tgsers and that was lots of fun I gotta admit. I agree with the cruising around thing. If your riding by your self trying to land some techy thing isn't fun at all but riding around doing high speed manuels and grass/curb gaps is really awesome. Riding down a mountain on a trials bike is also really freakin fun. So many wallrides, banks, rock gaps, hop gaps, etc... I think I have more fun doing that than most the mtnbikers, they basically just go in a straight line and brake.
  10. That depends largely on how you ride. If you want a "danny mac" style frame I can vouch for the because simple. You can 180 it off 10 sets without snapping it, it manuels, spins and is easy to pedal kick and bunny hop. Its a really tough frame and thick tubing (I dissected one and analyzed the design) I haven't ridden the other 3, but I have seen lots of good riders using the neons. As I remember they have much longer geometry and are more well suited to a TGS style of riding. I also believe they are significantly weaker and lighter. (just going off memory though make sure to verify this) My friend just bought the new because frame and it looks and feels great. They improved their gusset, and tubing design. I am not saying in any way the other 3 are bad or inferior to the because I am just saying the because is great.
  11. I can't find them on Tarty anymore, I really need them as I can't run regular magura cylinders. This is because the echos are shorter and I run bmx cranks. The magura ones get kicked when I pedal. Anyone know where I can buy some? They also stopped selling the echo SL brake lever. How come? They have the only lever without a stupid square blade that cuts your finger up.
  12. Really? Was your depression internally or externally caused? People who have happy peaceful lives full of love when they are young have no ambition or motivation when they are older and basically become degenerates but they are really happy usually. Does riding make you happy, or does being good at riding make you happy? Its interesting why people do what they do. I have an insecurity of rejection from growing up based on the premise of me being boring and loosing all my friends cause I wasn't interesting enough to keep them. I started riding to be a more interesting person because I would see riders ability to generate awe in people and it was an ability I wanted to have. Riding competitively is a really inefficient method for obtaining happiness, which is why I am curious if their is an insecurity that drives you or if riding really makes you happy. I am wondering because I can't see anyone getting that good without having some kind of insecure motivation most people don't have. I am competitive but internally I just get depressed when people are better than me. I get this feeling in my neck when someone makes me feel inadequate with my self. If someone challenges your ideas concentrate on your neck and see if it goes crazy. This is soooo off topic lol. Feel free to not answer as it is something very personal I am asking, I am just very interested to know.

    Wheels

what one earth are you talking about? He has no disc brakes on either the front or back. What do you mean by discs? Be as specific as possible
  14. you gotta admit its entertaining to read hahaha, I read most of that. I respect both choices. Having a family will make you a lot happier than trying to be the best your whole life. If you ride to achieve as much happiness as possible then quit. You will only be happy when you are progressing, half the time you ride you feel like you are sucking know what I mean? Their is more bad days than good ones and at some point the good ones aren't worth it. However Ali may be motivated in life by things other than happiness. I am 24 practice riding every day, ride alone, never have had a girlfriend live with my parents and from your point of view would also have no perspective on reality. If Ali chooses to ride knowing he would be happier having a family then I respect that A LOT. Some people don't seek happiness in life, and some don't know how to get it. I can't judge without knowing someones motivations. From my observation Mark and Ali do complain a lot more than they compliment though but my opinion isn't worth much cause I don't read all their posts and I am prejudice against them because they seem to antagonize me hahaha. Maybe its just all in my head. As for Ross I think this is really hilarious and you should thank the argument. Your video has 15 pages of comments and now everyone will watch it. They are really helping to promote your video Just keep egging them on and you will have the most talked about trials video ever made.

Great stuff, I would complain about the camera lens but I think I have already done that in one of your vids. A good mix of fun and difficult lines in there. I think the non riding clips were a good to have in there, cause it puts a lot more personality into the riding and gives the video spirit. Lines I remember the best were the g-turns, 180 up the huge skatepark set, and bump jump 360 up the stair flight. I love the bike trains hahaha. Some really nice 360s in there, and tons of other great stuff. Next time upload it on youtube too.

wow that was long, gotta go to sleep will watch the second half tomorrow and leave a better comment. Its fun watching all the different styles. Balanced bikes are the best. you are like 5% worse at a couple tricks and then it opens your trick variety by like 100%. I think the perfect bike would be 22" XD
  17. basically I dont want to buy any inner tubes for the next 5 years. 6 a year sounds realistic.
  18. I always buy cheng shin 20" tubes, they are way more pop resistent than echos of the same weight, and equal in pop resistence to a heavy duty bmx tube. (I tried the dans street/trials tubes) I can't find cheng shin 20" tubes anywhere, does anyone know where I can buy them, or a equally good tube? For 19" the tubes that are big in uninflated diameter, and thin walled work a lot better than the ones that are low in uninflated diameter with the thick wall. I want to buy a box of about 30 so price is a factor too. I could buy cheng shins for like 2$ a piece in a huge box but biketrialstation doesnt return emails anymore.
  19. just curious, how were you able to get that? Doesn't seem like you guys are friends. Don't you have to be friends on facebook to read other peoples stuff? (not being sarcastic here I am just curious)
  20. Wow best mod spins I have seen. I am surprised not more people do this. The evo is the perfect frame for it too. Heh a couple things on the evo I designed, those holes in your gussets to shift pressure to the side and a few other random things. 1 suggestion I have if you are going to furthur your spins is get a 20" viz urban fork. 360ing anything over a 5 set will break virtually any mod fork on the market with the exception of this one. Mods are awesome cause u can do pure trials and pure street on them however the industry makes it hard to get strong street parts. They really need to make a 20" inspired. I have designed one my self and its great, hopefully they will be more readily available on the market in the future. You could definitely ride my frame, the only difference between yours and mine is mine is mine is stronger, shorter, and a steeper headtube. Look forward to seeing more riding! Great riding only complaint is I hate night videos. You can see whats happening but day is just cooler.
  21. Their is major advantages of smaller rotor discs. 1) modulation: You can lock, and you can tap to slow down which is important if you do manuels. Aside from manuels being able to slow rather than lock really has no use. 2) weight 3) strength, their is less leverage on a small rotor so it is less likely to bend or hit an obstacle in a side hop The only pro to a large one is power. So if the small one holds well for you I would keep that because power is the only possible reason to upgrade size.
  22. music choice is just their taste. Better is totally subjective and when people put music that is objectively good with amazingly skilled musicians people say the song was bad. I thought they edited the music perfectly and it worked for me.
  23. wow you are really pro. Are you pro? Mindblowing riding. Great edit went perfectly with the music, were you ok after the last clip How come you chose to have the video in black and white? I really loved the huge gap to front on the picnic bench.
  24. Darn, I wanted to be the only guy with a cool flashy green bike. That was really perfect. Amazing riding and everthing was really controlled and landed well IMO. One thing they could do is balance their manuels closer to the balance point so they are a bit less brake heavy, but considering they are manueling off like a 20 foot drop I am not going to complain. One thing it lacked was 360 tiretaps. They are amazing at that trick and their was only one off a drop. I don't know why they didn't have more they are sooo good at them.
  25. The 510HX is great. Its the only chain I haven't broken and its a decent weight. You can predict when a chain will snap usually. Once you buy them they stretch and then stop stretching for quite some time, and when they are loose enough to put a 1 tooth larger cog from the second stretch they will potentially snap. I did snap a 510 but after 2.5 years of riding, where as other ones just broke in a couple months without stretching the second time and no fair warning
