  1. actually I change my opinion do that. You can probably build the tool easy enough.
  2. mmmm nope. get the love hate gloves by bicycle union. U can find them easy in the UK. Make sure you get the largest size, when you make a fist the glove should not be stopping your hand motion at all or else they will chaff and burn out your hand. I have used one set of these for 4 years and it still hasn't ripped and I ride hours a day and flip over the bars 40 times a ride. I have tried virtually every glove set on the market and then found these. The differnce is simple. If I don't wear them my hands bleed and hurt, if I do I can ride unlimited time each day and never worry about hand pain ever.
  3. I wouldn't buy it, unless you are trying to save the headset. You won't damage your frame as long as you hammer it out somewhat evenly. To put it in I just use a 2X4 and hammer the 2X4 to cushion the new headset in. Then just bunny hop a few times and its in solid. Usually you won't damage the headset nearly enough to not be able to reuse it, its usually just esthetic damage and its on the inside part where you can't see anyways. I use a profile bb spindle as a headset remover hammer. works miracles. A headset remover is more of a bike shop tool IMO. I have never damaged a headset removing it except the echo sl headset cause the cups are so thin.
  4. i have long hair and wear a dress when i ride does that count?
  5. This is why I design frames you would have to put a 30 tooth cog before the chain hits mine. It is their fault for sure, quite simply put they didn't put enough clearance with the seatstay design, the seatstay will flex a bit when you ride and the chainline needs to come nowhere near the frame when you pedal. It is just too close. I would say ride the frame if you want to save money, it could break but isn't too dangerous I have had a seatstay snap when I was riding, the chainstay and other seatstay usually hold the frame together so you can just replace it when that breaks it also might not break altogether. But yeah it should be warranty in my opinion. You are running totally normal gearing... or consider switching to the new fans evo frame. They are designed and built with quality but are a bit pricey compared to the echo. side note: I once gridned the frame so deep on the seatstay on my GU that their was a hole in it and it didn't break. You are probably safe to ride it but it will be hard to stop that, cause the seatstay will always flex somewhat so its likely to get worn down more.
  6. My friend wants to switch from a bmx to a mod. The two frames that work really well for this are the because simpie frame especially the old model with the bent downtube and the new fans frames. Problem is I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where I can buy them or have them for sale? I can buy the fans frame directly from easy-bikes but its pricey and usually cheaper from a distributor. Does anyone know any distributors that have them?
  7. Here is my advice, never take anything anyone says on a forum seriously ever. I am the exact opposite kind of riding and do nothing but flowy moves All people say in my vids is get a bmx or do static trials moves, and what is even funnier is in my old vids I did have static trials moves and they just said they sucked and need to be combined with flowy moves... So yeah lesson is you can't win lol. Trials riders are still better than bmxers (slightly), they have rules for everything. If you have the wrong color socks they will hate you. The bigger and more commercial a sport is the more competitive and cultured it becomes. The main thing I like about trials is its still sort of underground. People shouldn't be complaining about free entertainment, if you don't like peoples hard work then go watch something else. What makes trials interesting is the variety of riding styles. I ride nothing like that anymore buy enjoyed every moment of it. As for the title of the video I was confused but then realized it was obviously a joke when I saw the video. As for the video it was sooooooo good. Amazing riding, only thing I felt it lacked were some more gap drops. (you can never get enough of those)but it is still really great the way it is. Your control is what makes it look really great
  8. Why is it your last video? Or was that a typo and you meant latest? That was some awesome riding! Loved the nose manuel across the picnic bench, totally did not expect that and have never seen that done. Your style is unique
  9. That was perfect in every way.
  10. ROFL I think this sums it up... "fixed gear, no brakes.... can't stop... don't want to either" I like how that statement is followed directly after by him clearly locking the drivetrain to do a power slide on his bike that can't stop and him stopping by using the drivetrain brake. Like literally right after he says that hahaha
  11. I thought it was danny mac till I read the first reply. They are really good. Hmm some tricks are just funner than others. Maybe they pick those tricks cause you can go big with all of them cause they are easy. (not saying its easy to do it off a huge drop like they did) I am just saying tailtaps, nosepick 360s and stuff are really easy tricks to learn and do, they just feel really nice so they are good for going big. I have danny mac influence too but I put my own twists, like when I tiretap I 360 out instead of 180 or do it to manuel. I still think their riding looks great though. They ride differently than danny mac when I rewatched it you can see a style differenc.
  12. best mod video I have seen... ever!! Serious skill. Brakeless mods are good cause you have to land sideways to stop and this just kills rims, but on a mod the 20" rims are much stronger and less likely to bend. You are crazy man
  13. if they break doing that they are total garbage. You must have primo spokes or something
  14. I have tried it and it didn't work because if you leave a spoke out then the spacing on the hub flange will have a gap and the next spoke will have to be longer in length to reach the rim. You would need about 4 different lengths of spokes to make that work. I know it sounds confusing but think hard about what I wrote it does make sense but I can't really explain it any better. It might be possible, but unless you know some special way of lacing you won't be able to lace it with a standard 3 or 4 cross pattern.
  15. were they double butted sapims? I have never snapped one and I reuse them all the time. I have also bent rims really badly and still reused them and never had one break. Sapim double butted are the only spokes I have never broken ever and I think I have tried everything on the market
  16. don't do that its incredibly dangerous. Invest in a good set of handlebars such as trialtech sport bars. They are a good price and quality build. If you bend a bar back it will be significantly weaker and snap on you. A snapping bar means your chest smashes your stem super hard and results in broken ribs and serious injuries. Unless you are pulling up when it snaps then you are ok. I have had bars snap and hurt my self really bad, I was only bunnyhopping a curb too.
  17. spokes snap for 1 single reason... they are garbage Any spoke that can snap is total junk you need better spokes. sapim double butted is what you need. I have reused them on 5-6 different wheels they will last you your whole life unless you need a different length, and they are probably lighter than what you have now too.
  18. Not true! That pallet gap was also fish eyed. Your point is made though, most the clips weren't it just seemed like a lot were because this vid was quite a bit shorter than normal. Everything you do just looks fish eyed too because you do everything half a meter bigger than a normal rider would so I get confused.
  19. I love 24" vids. Favourite line was the nose pick 360 over the bench. Loved everything about it though... Including the music The wallrides and manuels looked great too. Really controlled. You need to make a movie.
  20. Hmmm I would say damon spring 2010 is still my favourite video. I liked the song/riding went so perfectly for me but that is just my opinion. I think your videos are really inspiring, the riding is just inhuman and the editing was really good. I think its good he puts in non riding clips. Its very interesting to see what kind of person is behind the rider. I say this to everyone but I think you should film without a fish eye so its easier to tell how big you are actually going. Everything looks big on a fish eye but on a regular lens lengths only look massive if they are massive, and your riding is massive.
  21. very nice sir. He is a great rider. The editing and camera quality are great. Canon is great for that crisp image.
  22. I am going to switch from a profile to a g-sport 3/8 hub. I want to do some weight savings, and I have an extra profile hub coming in the mail someday. Will the axle bolts and driver be able to switch onto the g-sport hub?
  23. I have made it my mission to prevent people from buying profile. Not only are their products faulty but their customer service is total crap. I broke my hub and they said they would warrenty it so i sent it back told them 1000 times to send it express mail shipping as i am in an extreme hurry, they agreed to send it express mail, I paid and was billed for express mail, and they send it by ground mail and did not inform me after asking them for a week did you send it express mail?. I have lost an entire summer riding because of their service, they are the worst company ever. If you need a 10ml cassette I recommend doing the following... run a trialtech hub with a 16 tooth acs claw or try all freewheel and put a bigger gear in front. (acs and try all have better engagement than profile) buy a g-sport hub If you do buy a profile make sure you do it off tarty bikes... Tarty bikes is a real company and even if profile service is total crap you can deal through tarty and should be able to get by as they actually are competent and give you what you pay for and take the time to read what you write. I live in canada and I would rather pay extra money every single order just so I can buy from tarty so I don't get incidents like the one above. If you run a 135 ml just get a hope pro 2 the engagement on a profile is worse than virtually any freewheel. It has 4 pawls 2 offset 34 ramps. So 64 engagements, 2 pawls engaging at a time. It slips for sure.
  24. seans videos are awesome they are the kind of vids you can watch over and over and are great. I loved that handicap sign 180 that was so awesome I ride by 1000 of those things every day in Calgary and the line never came to me. Last clip was nuts. You have got to have the highest trick variety of any rider on the planet.
  25. people can't relate to him anymore. in the past people could try what he does but now they can't. No normal rider could ride inside some 5 million dollar theater. He obviously has permission to be in there something no other rider could get. I thought the video was crazy but it just feels too "commercial" to me.
