  1. I'll come out and play on saturday if you want, chimpster. I'm nowt special, but i'm quite a friendly chap and have a basic map of the spots in my head Matt
  2. Why not be more helpful? All he wants is an answer, if you want to refer him to the search, do it nicely. As for lids, just go onto CRC, they've got loads! Any giro'll be a safe bet, I love my Xen to bits, despite the fact it's held on my head with cable ties.
  3. Looks pretty sweet Jeff! What's the geo of it? How are you finding the gears?
  4. Totally agree with you dude, giving them an advance warning of what we're doing doesn't seem to be the best card to play. They're pretty hot on it even when there's a relatively small ride - one last year ended up with us getting chased out of St. Paul's by a few police horses, followed by some vans all over the place when we got to the roads. Only 15 or so of us were riding there at that point, too Meh, whatever happens, it'll be sweet. Anyone on 24's, prepare to have me come and introduce myself, and probably follow you around all day taking mental notes on how to do this thing!!
  5. I think the guy who made those should do some more, preferably to fit my vee. I miss the old bikes, they all had a bit of character, everything's too similar these days...
  6. Got my dates muddled up, should be there after all
  7. boris got validated :O

    Nice one buddy (Y)

  8. Think it was more to take the stress away from the frame in taps and hooks, after Mr. Porter ripped the headtube off his 660! Helps in hooks a too, from what i've read/ heard, nice and easy to spring/bounce/bump it up
  9. 505's weren't about 'til around 2005, iirc? I'll go with Frank the welder

I kind of inherited my dad's old time trial bike a while ago, now that he's fat and everything (he'd break it) We got it from my aunt (who was working for lotus at the time) when they came back from the tour de france in '94/95', can't remember. Bought the frame up for 150 english pounds, despite the 'production' models retailing at 3k - to this day i have no idea why we got it that cheap. It's a Lotus sport 110, as used by Mr. Boardman: Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  11. Used to run front and rear 200mm mono trials, they were sweet. Now running front 200mm mono trial, full rear ultimate with clark's cable and phat inspired pads, no booster.
  12. Nice one, i'll see what days my services are required and change topic title and such
  13. No worries bud, seems i got my dates wrong anyway! Will eb down sometime the week after if anyone's about
  14. With regard to what, exactly?
  15. Just stumbled across your profile again mate, we all miss you loads! Hope the others are looking after you! xx

  16. Ta babe seriously, i can't wait for you to get this 24" project on the go, you looked so comfortable on this last weekend, really suited you! As for selling up, i can't see that happening for a while!! But if i do, i will Thanks for the comments!
  17. If Joel's out, i'd be well up for it, need to learn to work this 24" thing EDIT: Forget that, got my dates confused - i'm away pimpin' hoes that weekend
  18. I'ma little dubious on the stem, may try something a bit higher in the future to make it pull up easier. As for the tyre, i'm not one for low pressures at the best of times, and it's also got a rather huge tube in there, so hopefully no problems Ok... Aww :$ Think i need another job to re-claim hat it's cost me over the last year or so
  19. John - It's on my list, but i can't really afford pimp things at the mo! (unless something comes up second hand ) Owen - Glad you approve, you're welcome to have a bash on it (no pun intended) next time i see you. And yeah, was well worth the wait!! ust waiting for a new set o' burns to arrive... Jeff - Get it done, boy!!! Thanks for all the comments!

Close the door behind you, Nick.
  21. Aye, i'm gonna have to get at least mildly good before things get ghetto, otherwise i'll look like a tit who's just destroyed his bike Bar + stem isn't bad at all! Doesn't pull up massively easily, but it's by no means difficult! When you're on the backwheel, all is good on the hood, as they say in the trade.
  22. Haha, yeah, he's a danger to everything! From what i've gathered the head tube madness came about after he decapitated a 660 EDIT: James, well worth the wait!
