Evening all, back from fiddling with big bits of rusty metal Thought i'd do the done thing and show y'all some pics. Completely stripped, dismantled, chopped, welded, re-built and painted (6 times) the 101 - all in a day. It's been named Pedro, and is awesome! Currently reppin' a rover 3500 V8 with 3/4" stainless sports exhaust, compression is sweet - starts after a quarter turn of the key! Got a 3.9 V8 to go in at some point, currently tweaking it and sourcing a supercharger for some silliness. It's looking presentable now, still needs the interior doing, handbrake is sticking, so is the noisy pedal, and it's stuck in diff lock, so a bit of work to do! When Pedro arrived: Classic military paint job. "if it's dirty, paint over it": Paint stripped, etch primer on: Eye protection must be worn at all times Bit o' welding: Paint done: Not at all bad for a day's work! - me n' Jon worked flat out from 9am to 7pm on tuesday OHHH - the new toy! Winston, 86" series 1, parabolics, insa special tracks, can't remember what axles, 2.5tdi, gonna be an absolute beast!!! Spent the day sorting what it failed the MOT on, (we nearly rolled it under hard braking, it liked going left) will be in for re-test Monday! Sorry for posting so many pics :$
