  1. This has been sat in my mates shed for the last 5 years gathering dust and mould! I'm pretty sure it's a short 04 control? I've cleaned it up a bit and swapped a few parts, bled the brakes and put some new bars on it. Hopefully now i can get him out riding again? I will need a bigger garage soon as mine now looks like a retirement home for old trials bikes
  2. I forgot about this song but found it again the other day , its awesome http://vimeo.com/12575332
  3. This is what i wear at work and it keeps me warm, gets down to -30 or so in certain areas of the warehouse. It may be a bit bulky for riding in though
  4. Nice riding, whereabouts are those rocks? I saw you riding up Ashridge by the monument the other week, i was going to take my bike with me but i went to the pub instead Do you two ride together much? I may have to drag myself out of the house and meet up for a ride if thats o.k ?
  5. I've still got this but it's not built up, i don't think i will ever sell it?
  6. In 10 years i'll be 41, i haven't got a plan for the next 10 day's let alone the next 10 year's ! I want to to get a vw camper and spend as much time as possible at the coast, thats about it really.
  7. Like a lot of people i don't have a favourite song but these are up there with the best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJfhGL0F6LE
  8. Front brake And my back brake, i'm going to get TR clamps and grind the rim next month.
  9. Because they cost around £340 over here, thats about $550.
  10. I f**king love this song, just wish it was a bit longer.
  11. I've still got a load of old stuff Custom fit booster was my only option back then, also my old hope brake. Some of my old wheels, thats a screw on hope rear hub btw Signed poster I bet this t-shirt is rare?
  12. Here is part 1 , I'm sure you can find the rest
  13. Obviously it's the rider but a good bike helps a lot. Also having the bike set up properly helps, it seems like most of the riders i meet are incapable of setting up magura's . I also think it helps if you stick with the same bike for a while, back in the day i used to get a new frame every few months but i ran out of money and ended up with a battered old Monty 231 frame. I did my best riding on that bike, i think thats because i got so used to it that on a good day it felt more like a part of me rather than something i was riding. That probably sounds a bit gay? I almost bought one off of ebay a few months back but didn't bother in the end, mainly cos of the offset rear end and not wanting the headache of getting a dish-less wheel built. Also because i'd be disappointed that i cant ride it like i could in 2001. I wish i'd never stopped riding it , if that girl at work hadn't of smiled at me i reckon i'd be pretty good now ?
  14. I personally don't want trials to get massive, it may sound selfish but i like being one of very few people who ride where i live. This is mainly because i'm a bit rubbish and don't want to be shown up but also i like the attention you get from having a skill/s that very few people have. I don't think its ever going to get much bigger than it already is now, it seemed bigger to me back when i started in 97/98, Martyn Ashton was all over the cover of MBUK every other month and the bike show's were pretty much dominated by trials. I think the time and effort needed to get good at trials puts a lot of people off, also the cost as it isn't cheap is it? I think it's a bit of a posh sport really, kind of like motor racing? I bet there aren't many kids from council estates that ride trials, unless they've stolen someone's bike that is ? What i would like to see is a channel 4 documentary about trials, the parkour boy's have had one, where's ours?
  15. Don't listen to this if you are offended by rude lyrics
  16. I've got a 4 year old son, I've got him a football and a go-kart. I'm hoping he will be either a professional thug footballer or an F1 driver? I don't mind which, just so long as he earns a shed load of money and buys his old man a Lamborghini And given the amount of vomit coming out of my wife at the moment I'd say there's more trouble on the way !
  17. Well i think i'd go for the longer lever and save £20 then, i bet we'll be seeing a lot more HS11's from now?
  18. Sorry if i'm being a bit thick but how is the 33 better than the 11?
  19. I used to own a 106 and i loved it, never let me down and it was quite nippy (1.6). I know their basically the same as a Saxo but I'd rather have a 106. Kind of like choosing between Zoo and Echo really. If you do get a Saxo just service it properly and don't drive like a dick, that go's for any car really. Yeah the roof may cave in if you roll it at 90mph but i'm sure that will happen to any car ?
  20. It's also worth checking the less obvious places, most people think that Tesco or Asda are going to be the cheapest but last year when i got a new t.v Tesco were by far the most expensive! After loads of shopping around it turned out that John Lewis and the Sony centre stores were cheapest and by a big margin. Tesco,Currys,Comet etc wanted £900-£1100 with a 1 year warranty, John Lewis and Sony wanted £700 with 5 years warranty!
