From experiance you cant really get a decent set of new forks for that much. But you might be able to get a decent set of old dirt jams or maybe even some dirt jumper 3's if you have a look around on ebay and southern-downhill forum etc. If your wanting to do a wee bit of trials then lower the travel when you get them. if there quite long 80mm of travel would be perfect for a more all round bike

That is a new very nice DMR you have there. Just wondering what the frames are like as im after a more streety feel on my steed?

Recently bought a new bike and the guy i bought it from sent some onza citrus pads with it. Being quite a novice to trials i thaught they'd last a fair bit. But theyv'e only lasted about 4 rides. Could someone please give some advice on realtivly cheap and decent pads for a medium grind? I dont really wanna spend the earth so about £15-20 budget wise

Why do you need weed to have a good time? Poeple like that are just boring as hell and weed makes them even boringer. And yes weed does f**k you up big style if you smoke enough of it for long enough. Theres a fella who works with my dad whos smoked it since he was a teenager. He's now like 30 odd and completely clueless and paranoid. He takes every critsism really badly and thinks that your against him. Also it just turns you into a cabage after a while. I used no a lad who'd come round my cousins flat wered they'd be everything going round and theyd just sit there in the corner smoking joint after joint. Barly spoke and when he did he couldnt give you a stright answer. As far as the topic goes....FAIL

Judging by what spec it is then your gonna be riding street and jumps on it? shorter foprks tend to be better for those kinda things Nice bike though looks awesome, never have been keen on the way they ride though. Feel abit iffy and twitchy to me

Got a Sarcen Xcell jump bike, was preety wank so i upgraded most of it, halo tornados, dirtjumper 3's that kinda thing just need to upgrade the frame now. Maybe a blkmarkt mob or a NS bitch. Also got a Kona Coiler for freeride downhilly type stuff

Sick riding, the kind of BMX i like watching really lazy smoth and flowing. Not just hoss at everything then 360 something. That jump over the car was mad aswell. What bike did he do it one couldnt see from the vid looked like a santa cruz v10 or summit? Great vid anyway

Soory about the news mate. Just keep thinking if Lance Armstrong can beat cancer and win the tour de france than i can beat it. I know its not a nice thing to go thorugh or think about, butit is beatable and people can do amazing things after it. Stay posotive thats the only thing i can suggest and probaly the only thing you can do. Im not sure how serious bowel cancer is, but im sure its not a nice experiance to have go through. Just stay cheerful and try and lead as normal as life as you can, maybe even go out for a ride if you feel up to it. If you stay happy about it and just thing " yeah it is abit of a shitter but i can get through it then you will good luck and i hope you recover soon!

The lower end bikes seem to be the same. Realativly the same spec just a few compeonents differences. So its just a case or what bike you like and looks best. Also a decent brand name like ironhorse or something jsut because the bikes are alomost identical in preformance really. If your wanting say hydrolic brakes and a have decent set of forks, secondhand your best option. your bound to find something cheap and decent on ebay. I sold my Kona Caldera on there for £325 and it cost me £600 ex hire and i think there some thing like £700 new. Thats another good way of buying a secondhand bike, ex hire. More often than notthe bikes will have been serviced after every ride and will be sold on after 20 rides. Best place for ex hire bikes is all the big trail centres up in scotland and wales. Mine was from Glentress From experiance and from what ive read in magazines the forks that come on lower spec bikes are terrible. The forks that came on my saracen jump bike for example just froze solid out on a ride in cold weather. And many have a terible top out clunk. As for brakes on lower spec bikes there suprisangly good for xc riding, nothing spectacular but they do the job and give you a little more preformance in wet and muddy conditions. Hayes tend to be the best or avid bb5's. Altough the avids are quite rare on bikes from new. Drivetrain you cant go wrong with deore. The raer mechs are excellent and a bike costing around about what your gonna be spending youd sway me considerably with a decent mech and groupset. After all the money you'll might be spending on upgrades. Asd for what bike i would go for in your budget range would be a Specialized Hardrock its about £100 under you budget so you could upgrade some of the stuff thats on it Abit of a essay but but worth a read

Experiance my lad. I found it helped just kinda rolloing pedel kick to get uset to the motion and landing with the back brake on. Also endoing then roling onto your back wheel helpes alot if your struggling to get on your back wheel

If the MBK you saw was Ben Leacocks then id buy it without hesitation. Ride really well and looks top aswell. Havnet had much experiance with Zeniths but they look really strong sturdy frames. As its said above the MBK is more exepensive but its lighter, for me that would outway the cost really
