Going single front ring on my XC bike (before using a chain device) :
Removed inner and outer chainrings, removed the shifter and cable but kept the front mech and pincing up a bit of cable to hold the tension on the mech then adjusted the limit screws for using as a guide worked well but chain would slip off occasionally on rough trails or when back pedalling.
And on the trials bike i have tall brass nuts like you would find for plumbing as booster spacers. My tensioner's cage is slightly bent so ive filed and modded the inside of it to prevent the chain catching on the edge of it too much ;P

you can only fit a 180mm rotor on the ashton and its a direct mount (set at +20) so you cant use any adaptors

I shall be heading up on Friday afternoon. See everyone bright and early on Saturday morning, heres hoping the weathers kind to us

Love that Gary! Gold detailing is nice and subtle

i think the geo is 1035 35+ 380
Not too far off my Ashton just with a higher bb. Im tempted by the Because Street as well. If i had the money i would be interested in buying as a second bike for riding brakeless.

It was a pair of strawberry jam doughnuts...
Thats still bread-like

I wouldn't know - we literally went in there so Ali could feed the ducks
Bread for ducks is the death of ducks! Nice video though and no music makes a nice change and the black and white filming was certainly different. Love the website too! Keep up th work!

I dont mind my Pimplites im quite happy with them but my brake spacing wont allow any rims over 32mm yeah whats the geo? Im kinda interested in getting one of these frames if i can find a good one second hand, i believe its not made anymore which is why i can find anywhere that sells them new.
-
yep that would be me who has an effect!

Lovely colour, nice and fresh! Great build dude, are those Pimps or Pimplites?

Holy crap! Defineltey one of the best 24" vids ive seen in a long time. Its nice to see a top (if not the best) comp rider be creative and style it up, the guy has incredible skill. This is exactly the style of riding im working towards but its gonna take years of practise (as well as bottle ) to get as good as that. Manual onto the rail was insane im gonna watch this vid again..and again...and again..and again i dont think i'll get bored of it.

yeah member location and bike info should return!

Correct me if im wrong...some of those bikes had suspension forks? Definetely old skool when trials bikes had seats and gears and the X-Up abubaca is certainly a move you hardly see nowadays ond one im trying to keep alive!

Probably a repost but i found this on Pinkbike, just thought id share it considering the crazy amount of Danny Mac stuff on here at the mo. Gives us an insight to his choice of parts on his bike and answers why hes running dual disc now....Enjoy!

Hmm, not sure if in gonna get used to this new layout, though it certainly looks fresh i prefered the look of the old skin. Mobile version is still the same though which is nice!

with cable discs you need to ensure the caliper is completely square. Best way to do this is loosen bolts on the adaptor and caliper (not the direct mount to the fork/frame) align the caliper by eye them pull the lever on. Now nip up the bolts with the lever still on. Once done let go of the leverage, spin the wheel to make sure it spins freely and the brake should now lock well

i have a query thats related, what would be the best way of going about spraying raw parts? I have raw echo forks (they come like that standard) and they have laquer on top. I know someone at a car repair and spray centre that can do it professionally but is there a way i can do it at home and get a good result? What paint would be best? My dad is handy at spraying cars and has a spray gun and that but no access to an oven for a better finish. Maybe wait til summer eh? But yeah help appreciated as id like to have black forks again soon
