  1. Each day will count as seperate points day would be best I think.

'Nother question :giggle: so on the two day events are they treated as 'single' events or is the second day a continuation of the first?

EDIT: my Dad has a query about the club. He has good knowledge of this stuff having being involved with various car clubs and motorsport, there needs to be club rules and guidelines to follow to keep the legitimecy of the club (not sure on spelling) and to ensure everyone is aware of how the club runs.

  2. Meeting for 11:30 outside the station?

Hmm train from Dumfries is at 1pm  and would have to catch 20 past 5 train back.

How much was the train Dan?

Not sure what it'll be for yourself but for me from Dumfries its £2.55 return, but that was before VAT increase (VAT is charged yes/no?)

  3. Any good double wheel, i.e. Rolhoff, Try-All, Trialtech, Tensile etc. Whether your chain would work with those i dont know. Ive got something different, mines a Fire-Eye tensioner and its brill, keeps tension constant, gives maximum chain wrap and is silent. Also alot of the double wheel tensioners, paricularly the older Trialtech ones and the Try-All and Tensile ones (alot of t's there!! :giggle: ) are all basically the same so should something go wrong you can interchange parts :)

  4. Sounds great Kev, and club membership seems a good price, great venues. Really looking forward to this i'll hopefully be attending rounds 2,3 and 7 :) one question, on the two day events is there separate points availible for the two days or is it just counted over the weekend?

  5. a pic of me on my proper bike- Commencal Combi DLX upgraded with Mavic rims on Hope Pro 2 hubs, Sunline bars, Maxxis tyres, Hope floating brake rotors, MRP 1.X chainguide and old skool XTR cranks and Middleburn chairing (not in pic)

  6. I'm definitely up for this :) will probs be able to get the train up there for 11.

    Think I'm out saturday. Sweet.

Nicee :) would be good to have some locals who know the area well i know a few places to ride but would like some other places. Should explain my mate coming along isnt a trials rider, instead likes to find stuff to jump and drop, gaps with transitions and stuff on his mtb, so no full on techy stuff :P just keeping an eye on weather heres hoping it holds out :)

  7. Oreet guys me and a mate might be heading down to Carlisle this weekend (Saturday 15th most likley) weathers pretty poor atm but i'll keep an eye on it for the weekend so only riding in good conditions B) anyone interested just gimmie a shout, pm me and if all goes ahead will get a few numbers and a meeting point organised :)

  8. Looking good, not sure on the stem though but if it rides good its a winner (Y) looking at the frame it seems the Effect has a few of the original ET genes in its design  and the backend isnt too far off the old Inspireds

  9. motorcycle trials has a lot of skill and timing involved

Yes i was about to say im guessing theres a lot of work with the clutch to avoid you doing wheelies all the time or is it due to the fact that the engine idles so slow to help? I once had a pit bike and the clutch on that was a bit fearce, maybe it was just me not ehhh "catching it on the bite" :giggle:

  10. My front brake: BB7 caliper, 180mm rotor, slic cable well lubed, SD7 lever. Perfect. I was origianly just using this brake while i save up for a hydraulic but no need to BB7 is the best cable pull disc brake ive ever used, when set up square and true with a good quality cable and lever its just a really light pull and bang instant lock and bite with good hold too! Reccommended!

  11. like the hubs, and silver forks look better than the wannabe trialtech black ones :P. Could do with trimming the rear hose a bit too lol. In the pic looks like you have a 24" front wheel and 26" rear  going for a peny-farthing type trials bike :giggle: ? Im quite sure they are both 24" and its just the camera :$

No both 24" lol and no i didnt put the trialtech sticker on to be wannabies haha i just thought it would look cool :P

Looks good, Bars look abit low though. I love the hope gunsmoke colour. I have a rear gunsmoke pro 2 on my inspired and hopefully will be getting a front one to match soon.

Yeah steerer tube is a bit shorter than the original but ordering a trialtech 25 degree stem so should sort it out (Y)

Really like that, the silver forks look better then the black ones.

Have you changed pretty much everything but the frame now?

Pretty much only cranks, stem and headset are original.

Cheers for all the nice comments guys! :)
