my mate once met a feller that owned a roofing company and he got chatting to him and he said oh i'll just break some off for you, he had it in massive barrels or bags or something i can't remember. But he basically smashed a massive chunk off with a hammer and thats te stuff i used to use years ago....if you can find anyone like that they might be able to help Roof tar is the ideal stuff i would say, the stuff i got was really hard so it rubbed onto rims dead evenly and smoothly rather than in sticky clumps. is there anybody else who would be able to give some input. Some things to think about : 1. Have you ever had a problem fitting your bike in an allocated area? 2. have you been turned away with a bike for any reason before ? 3. only certain rail services require a bike pass/reservation, does this get confusing ? 4. has your bike ever been damaged or stolen due to the limited interest in cycle travel from companies and government ? and anything else related to travelling with your bike Adam.

Hi all, I'm studying transport design at uni and my current project is called "the good journey". i know i hate taking my bike on the train so i presume a lot of others on here do too. Has any body got specific personal experiences, or any pictures of trudging to fit bike in allocated areas, or any horror stories of anything going wrong whilst using the cycle coaches. It would be much appreciated and also if anybody does give me any info/pictures would you let me know if i can use them in my project please . Thanks Adam.

Not sure how to do that mate, but if you go on google maps and on directions put in A: DL3, Darlington and in B: Hang Bank road. Where it takes you off the A1(M) at a roundabout its literally right next to it if you zoom in you can't meet it. Don't zoom in where the pin for location B is because its not there. Adam.

It's a different quarry mate. It's just of the A1(m) like 5 mins from where I am, so think its a different quarry Adam.

Hi guys, got a stock after many years riding mod and decided to film for a video. Brad Tomlinson very kindly did all the filming for me, and suddenly came up with this edit which is probably better than what i will come up with when i get round to editing the clips . Either way hope you guys like it. Riding spots are all in the north east : Darlington, Tees Barrage, Yarm, Barton Quarry.
