  1. Never feel like I'm limited flexibilty wise whilst riding though (sheer lack of ability does that), I have a quick stretch before going out but haven't every noticed anyone else doing much in the way of stretching before comps/rides. Though this could be down to most riders are young enough to be naturally flexible whilst I'm ancient. I'll try to do some more daily.
  2. I hit the weights regularly - no idea if it helps as I don't ride anywhere near enough to notice. What about stretching and working on flexibility - would that help, I can barely touch my toes? Here's some pointless trivia - my bro's best man is DH rider Danny Hart's trainer.
  3. Ah no offence taken. I wrote that as just before I left work (I work shifts too - we've talked in the past about that). Fine over three days - thought it was going to be a single super seesion. As for suplpements, if they work for you all good - never got anything out of them myself - tried creatine and whey, even gave colustrum (sp?) a go. I know what you mean about nights -I only really eat twice a day on them but I reckon I actually eat more calorie wise though, though my gym frequency is down compared to days as are my kg numbers. Let us know how you get on. Tim - the ageing regular nationals observer.
  4. Dave, Workout plan looks fairly intense and may chomp on too much time, I'd aim for 2 sets rather than the 3 also with the weights you have I don't think you'll need protein or creatine unless your food diet is particularly lacking which I doubt. I found that I didn't really get any stronger/ bigger when taking supplements to when I didn't, putting more effort in was the key.
  5. Step 1, learn how to spell the word.
  6. 00:35 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I came, I saw and f'ing loved it, for those thinking of going to see a round of the UCI I highly recomend it, great viewing and organisation, shame I can't get to Antwerp.
  8. Hermance was lapping up the kickers and was super fast through some of the other sections, an avoidable five on section 3 cost Gilles the lead - he smashed this section with a clean in the first lap. Kenny B didn't look together all weekend - looked shaky on many sections where Gilles was ice cool. The win appeared to mean a lot to Hermance as his celebration shout at the end of section 5 showed (he couldn't be caught even if he fived the next section), it's been many years since he's stood on the top spot). Abel was awesome on the 20" and could have scored better but he clipped his pedals a few times on various sections, respect to Danni C who made sections 5 and 6 look like a mild practice. Speed trial tomorrow. Tim, sunburnt in Val d'Isere

    Best Horror?

^^^ Yep the orphange was good, also Tale of Two Sisters (Korean). REC was no new terroritory (look I just made up a word) but was highly effective. Wolf Creek (Australian) is another good one. I'm still yet to see Dark Water.
  10. Don't believe so, nearest is likely the Crowthorne club towards Reading way. Tim (near Swindon)
  11. Put simply, are there any UK riders going? I'm going as a spectator but know of no one else who is going. UCI Link
  12. When i went to Iceland I thought "this place would be great for trials but I bet there isn't a single rider in this country" - looks like I'm now wrong ) Look forward to seeing more vids, where in Iceland are you?
  13. No problem for years until a couple of weekes ago in Matlock when I did a proper job on my right leg.... and then again an hour later. The blood is still on my pedals about 8mm deep up the cage. I bought some shin pads last Friday (661 veggie wraps).

    Gcses

RE what a waste of time - not exactly going to help the national deficit! RE = story telling.
  15. Nice one Joe, got to be tough infront of the audience and the cameras.
  16. That is sad news, my wife works as a bowel cancer screening nurse but unfortunately they only screen senior citizens due to higher incidence and lack of funding to open up the age range. She tells me its third most common cancer but receives very low publicity so many are unaware that they may be in danger. She goes on to say if your family has cancer history and/or you are seeing symptoms (i.e. blood in stool, change in bowel habit over the last 3 weeks, fatigue for no apparant reason, abdominal pain - for more see http://www.beatingbowelcancer.org/) then go and see your GP asap.
  17. Ain't that the truth hence why I jacked it in.
  18. Nice one boy - keep it going.
  19. I'm observing and bringing one rider so I could probably fit in another in the car. Leaving from near Swindon very early Sunday morning. Tim.
  20. Loved that, going to watch it again, love trials and any form of b-boy/urban/break/lock and pop dancing.
  21. There's four of us here and I just made our obligatory weekend fry up - good times. Tea bag and milk status is healthy at present and there's always the dreaded vending machine should we run out. Looks like you'll have to hit the coffee.
  22. Gas trader, you know: buy low/sell high. Trade mainly the within day market so cover the UK market hours of 06:00-03:35.
  23. 7-7 shift at work, looked like I was on for a good day's trading but now I've screwed it - bollocks! Back again tomorrow. Oh yeah, bored too.
  24. Yep I remmember John from the YMSA and going to France in 2002. Good to see you're back dude. Tim. Edit: 07:00 UK world champs - I still have my Bike 'Trail' Official T-Shirt
  25. Vancouver BC, Canada, 4700 miles or 7500km
