I'm sure years ago Monty did a 12" wheeled bike. Just had a look they have a 14" but no pedals (still a trainer then). I'll get the little one a training bike but I'm not sure if girls are particularly interested in bikes at a young age (I loved my first 12" wheeled bike - a Raleigh Rocket - when I was 4).

Had a 1.1 SX for about 3 years whilst at uni - good simple motoring. Only 2 star NCAP last time I looked. Head gasket went on the front offside (left as you llok at the engine) - very common on Saxo's/106s with TU series engines (funny that 205's with the same series engine didn't suffer so much) got it fixed and sold it on.

Just interested to see who else on the forum has also taken the plunge into parent hood or is about to? I have a 3 month old daughter called Sophie. Things were hard at first but absolutely no regrets, she's great. Now where do I get a mini monty from... Anyone else...

This is true - in my opinion certainly. They are some of the reasons why I recently sold my Z4-M because to get real excitement out of it you ended up at silly speeds very quickly. Also, I was certainly more ambitious with overtaking manoeuvres too. Still like fast cars but something for the track maybe a better option next time, or having said that, something that is very special so it becomes more about the ownership than the outright speed. For example if I had a Lotus Carlton (cult car love to have one) or a Ferrari F355 (such a great looking car) it would be about the history and rarity.

It may also be worth having a look at the bearing surface in the hub, as this has been known to crack on some Onza loose bearing hubs (i.e. non sealed bearing hub). But sounds like you're not tightening/locking correctly; however, this design will inherently always need periodic servicing and tightening.

I've used 5-10s for years - perfectly happy with them.

Just looked up at work to see someone being interviewed about the Prince of Wales Green Tour with 'The Clan' boys doing a demo in the background. Had TF open on the computer at the same time so thought I'd post. BBC ususally show the same clips for the rest of the day so you maybe able to catch it - BBC News 24. Only brief but trials on TV is always nice to see.

That's the truth there. You should have license regardless of whether you use it to watch TV but even though I got letters in halls no one ever came round (didn't have a TV or computer - hey I went to uni a few years back). Bike shed forget it - ours' got broken into and all the bikes stolen except for my old Dawes - not sure whether I should be pleased or offended? When I took my trials bike (ok it was a Marin XC bike with a lack of chain rings) I locked in to my radiator and when they complained I mentioned the break into to the shed and asked them if they were going to pay up for my 1500 quid bike if i happened again. They never mentioned it again, kept it out the way behind the wardrobe afterwards - under the bed is another place.

Don't believe they did CRTs at that size, largest were about 36" for above that had to go to rear projection. Keep the retro going - pick yourself up a laserdisk player, cassette player, minidisc and a that, hell go way back and pick up a betamax player. I've still got a 32" CRT by Philips, was quite advanced when I got it and cost about £700 in 2003 now I'd give it away to whoever comes to get it.

Agree, 7 years and two degrees later I now work in a completely different sector. Think before you go, what exactly do you want to get out of it, some of the highest paid people I know didn't go to uni.

Gas Trader for RWE Gmbh (large energy company that owns npower), before that was an electrical engineer and before that worked in fibre optic R&D for 5+ years (PhD and in industry, working on optical amplification). Science and Engineering in this country doesn't seem to pay/reward so I jacked it in and moved into te financial sector.

Matt Tongue and Clive Leeson also did an eccentric bottom bracket cup I believe to achieve the same thing - I think it's on Matt's 20" Leeson.
