I keep snapping forks on the steerer. Probably about five times now. They've all been the same design, where the steel steerer tapers into the bond on the lower legs i.e. Koxx, Orange, Kinesis. Can people tell me what forks there are out there that either have a different join between the steel steerer and alu legs or have a decent alu steerer all in one construction. Yes, I know Echo forks are all alu welded together but they just too damn ugly plus they twang everywhere when you're on the backwheel. Don't say get steel forks, I'd rather have alu. I don't see myself as a natural rider or a street rider. I just ride my bike. I mainly ride street because I live in the city centre and that's what's outside my door. I prefer riding off road but that doesn't mean it's better. You're all talking rubbish anyway. What the hell is 'UCI style' meant to mean? Do F1 drivers drive 'FIA-style'? Do football teams argue over who plays 'FA-style'/'FIFA-style'/UEFA-style'? If you open your eyes you might even notice that it's actually the BIU comps that are all set on natural terrain and the UCI comps are allmost allways man made courses. It does work, you just need to get the right calliper. I used a HS33 master cylinder on a Julie calliper. The Julie Levr has 14mm master like HS33 and the calliper pistons are larger diameter. I've now got a Louise master on it which has an even smaller cylinder and it's rather beasty. Dan
