  1. You can get the Echo Urban in 36h but in black only, I find the black is the best anyway. Get the Echo urban mate. They are super super strong, I have done alot of hard bashing on my Urban Rim and it aint even dented. They have thicker sidewalls so they don't dent as easy and so you can grind it more. The anodising on them is amazing. It makes rim brakes work alot better. By far the best out of the other rims I find, and especially the black one, because the anodising lasts alot longer. I reccommend it.
  2. Personally, i'd chose the Ice over the Skull. I much prefer the geo and it's more suited for street so if that's what you ride the Ice will be great for you. It's a fair bit cheaper too. I have an Ice frame and it rides amaazing. also, it has maggie mounts and disc mounts incase you every decide to change your rear brake and the Ice now has stregthened dropouts. Saying all that, i've never actually ridden a Skull but I don't think i'd like that geo too much. :wink2:

    An Old Edit.

Wowww! Absoltely loved that! Crazy huge riding! Think that's my favourite vid from you to be honest. And I liked the song.
  4. I rode dirt jump and abit of street on a hardtail bike. One day me and my mates were out with loads of other trials riders and it looked so good. I had some shots on their bikes and managed to back hop so I just kinda got into like that.
  5. Yeah, that's another downer I find. My mate whos got a rear disc bent his rotor quite badly before just by missing one sidehop. Not worth it I reckon. We know where it's at. :wink2:
  6. Haha, i'm actually loving all your posts on this thread!
  7. Well... Vee brakes are ALOT cheaper than Discs if you don't get Ultimates. It's fine mate. Glad to help. If you've been riding for 5 days and can already sidehop a bench that's amazing! Keep it up man. The back vee set-up sounds great however, a wee bit of advice. Don't get the Ultimate calliper. Yeah, sure it's amazing but for about £60 cheaper you could get the SD7 caliper which is basically just as good. Theres a couple of weee tiny things better about the ultimate. But it terms of price, the Sd7 is much much better. The SD7 lever is great. I reccommend that but have a look at it here. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=71 Only a tenner. Echo booster will be great. Oddyssey linear slic is what I have. Very nice cable indeed. And the Rock pads on a nice, sharp medium grind will be epic. Sounds like an AWESOME set-up. if you get the SD7 caliper instead of the Ultimate it'll pretty much be just as good and you'll have an extra £60 to spend.
  8. Aww... Sucks to be you then. On a serious note, was it just a tiny bit of stretching or alot? Because usually they barely stretch atall.
  9. Even though you made the wrong decision, The Limey WILL be lush! Ride Inverness soon as you get it bud!
  10. Well, i've never tried this myself but I was reccommended by another guy on this forum that: When your grinding your rim and you use vee's, grind both sides forward, the way the wheel turns. And if your using a maggie grind both sides backward, the way the wheel doesn't turn. don't how well it works but it might be worth a shot. If you've lost forward hold then grinding the rim forwards will help with that.
  11. Looks damn nice! Good to see you back on good ol' maggies. Now all you need is a front vee. :wink2:
  12. Well... interms of applying pressure. A good vee that's been set-up good will require ALOT less pressure than a hydraulic. They pull in alot easier too. And yeah... about buckling the wheel, disc or no disc, your gonna want to fix it anyway. Just buy a spoke key for a fiver or something. Truing wheels is very easy when you know what to do.
  13. Well, my advice to you would be to get a set of vees. Considering you already have vee mounts at the back aswell, faffing around with Evo 2 adaptors is annoying. Vee's are GREAT provided you set them up good. I highly reccommend getting something along the lines of an Avid SD7 lever and Caliper. Cable doesn't matter too much, oddyssey or shimano or clarkes will be good. And your choice of pads. Learn how to set them up good. Lube inside the cable to make it feel great. Vee's feel the best out of other brakes, they are easiest to set-up and they tend to have more hold too. Go for it.
  14. Very strong chain and it wont stretch on you at-all. However, it gets alot of stiff links.
  15. Well i'm not meaning to come across as an arse. Higgs simply stated his opinion and then he gets called 'literally the most ignorant person on the forum'. I thought it was stupid so I said so. No intention to be a fanny or to start an argument atall. Apologies if you think so.
  16. I'm not starting an argument, just merely mentioning I thought Mike guys post was very stupid.
  17. The Gusset Tank and The KHE Collapse are by far the strongest and they barely stretch atall but I don't like them because they get loads of stiff links. I'd only reccommend getting one if you snap chains very very frequently. The KMC Kool is a really popular chain. It's fairly strong, NEVER gets stiff links however it stretches alot. Not had any expierience with Trialtech but my mate snapped his the other day. ^^^^^^
  18. Haha, if you think that you've obviously not been on the forum long. Don't listen to him haha. EDIT: Just looked on your profile and I see it says you joined in 2005. How come your still like a new member?
  19. I think alot more people would have entered if it was something like Heatsink pads and backings as a prize or something.
  20. I HAVE told you loads of times before that I love you Higgs.
  21. 3 different pieces? That's what you Koxx will be like soon.
  22. Yeah a brand new ENO for free! Lol. Will do. HAha
