I was doing half a pedal for ages and i just couldnt get above bar height with them. Then last week tim steadman helped me with the full pedal stroke technique, as i was unaware it existed. It took a day of practice to get it feeling right but it payed off as the day after tim showed me i was doing a good 6inches above bar and it feels much smoother and easier. Be persistant, learn them and at the end of it, it will all be worth it. :angry: As for cranks, i dont know. (Y) Edit. Try front touching aswel been as the t-rex is a beast.

Just for the record, i can service it properly, i took it all apart cleaned the teeth and everything but guess what it still slips. Maybe yours works great mine doesnt. In my opinion everyone thinks "oh a £300 hub, must be great" when most of them havent used it at all. Mine is bad, and i dont like it. Therefore im getting the new hope. End of. :- Dont mean to sound like im having ago, but i do have a king, do know how to service it and still dont like it. Im sure im not the only one. (N)

You can stop that easily, if you read the back of the box. :blink: You have to tighten one collar, then twist the other collar in one direction or the other and hold it there while you tighten that one up. Then its pushing against opposite sides of the two collars holding it firmly in place. >_<

I know its late notice and all but me and a few other riders are coming into stoke on trent tomorrow (saturday) and we wondered if all locals are riding or anyone else wants to come in. We have no idea where the spots are and could do with help, plus im going to keele uni in two weeks and could do with knowing the spots for then! Cheers guys. Dave there has been countless times when your hub has skipped out riding with me. Maybe your just clouded by the amount it cost and therefore wont admit they are crap. I dont like mine and dont trust it. When i spoke to wayne he said you raved about yours for a few weeks and after that you didnt really say anything. So maybe it dropped below expectations. You may actually like yours but id rather go hope so i can trust it. My old xc skipped twice, ever!! If hope is good enough for the majority of pros its more than good enough for me, even if im going to miss the beautiful lawn mower sound. (Y)

I'll be getting one as soon as they are out, im fed up with my king. They slip, they are made of cheese and im constantly worried incase it decides it wants to knock all my teeth out on a gap. I used to think that my king was awesome, but it was only because i spent so much on it, in all fairness they are shite. Many people seem clouded by the fact they cost a fortune meaning they must be good, and once you have brought one you wont admit they are crap because of how much you have spent. Hope are 100times better, better service, no slippage, and it doesnt say king on it. At the end of the day king may have some kind of superior-ness about it but who wants a crap hub by a superior name over a good cheaper hub by a less superior company. Buy english, buy hope and keep your teeth in your mouth. Andy

I do like this video, the angles may be overdone at some places but i've never seen a video like it and was very interested in the angles etc. to put in my own videos. It maybe more experimental and arty than most videos but i think this makes it far more interesting than another death metal backed video with everything in sight being dropped off. It may not be the greatest video to watch before you go out riding and get you in the mood, but it shows what trials is about and quite honestly i think the camera work is a masterpiece in its own right. I'm aware some people may find this slow or boring to get into, but thats because you have watched far to many zoo videos, not that thats a bad thing because i watch them before i go for a ride but i think this is a video where there is more to watch than the riding, this makes it interesting in a completely different way to conventional videos. Let the bitching continue, lol. Andy
