vee with wide rim, you can tap one of the arms with your ankle/foot and it pushes pad into rim, when you have a buckle, the wheel pushes the pad away unlike a maggy cylinder where its fixed, you can make the brake feel more hard or soft at the lever, you can make it retract slow-ish or fast, duno really, i did'nt like rear vee on the back of my stock which i used blue rock vee pads a normal cable from lbs and monty lever did have the avid ultimate arms on it though which seemed good, i rekon i better cable and just a sd7 lever whould of made it soo much better, but i only used the rear vee for 3 months cause my magura broke

whats the offset for the spokes on that rim, if you only had a 1mm offset like a normal try-all rim or something like that your spoke would go more into the centre of the rim and caliper would'nt be near the spokes? should be alright with any rim though to be honest

yea, i made the mech well me brother did and it carnt really be hit from sidehops the chain is bit slack, just going to let it strech over the next week or two then take 2 links out one of the reasons i got the frame like as i sidehop to the right

i'm 6 ft 1" almost and i used a hifo echo stem that was 130x15 with a 5mm spacer and low rise zoo bars and that was one of the best feeling bikes i ever had, should be about right if you used tt bars with the hifi stem like

yeh i had an 05 without that brace part but the 06 cls one has the brake hose mounts right on the side of the top tube i remember, not being down like they are on that, deffo 06 though black rims with red bits like ginger said
