Here are photos of my perfect bike. I say it is perfect because I won't change anything on the bike now.
(focus fail...)
That bike is damn light: 8.3kg !! That's because I have a magnesium DOB front rim and DT spokes on the front (my front wheel is 642g complete!!), magnesium pedals, light Viz rear rim and a V-brake on the front (best ever front brake) with Coust! pads in V-backings from Heatsinkbikes (thanks to Steve). I am back to a rear maggie with a perfect lever feel and original Coust! pads provided by Michel. Indeed, I found that the bite of that brake makes me feel more comfortable on the bike than th hold of a rear V-brake.
Now you might ask yourself: "Why the hell does he posts some pictures of his bike as it is not brand new?"
That's because I couldn't find some work and because I had loads of financial problems. And so, I had to sell my bike to get some money. But now I am so happy, because yesterday morning, I found a JOB!!!! Hopefully no one wanted my bike, so, I could keep it. I know it might not interest you, but I would have been so sad if it had to go. I am sooooooo HAPPY now! :)
Now some pictures of me riding it. Thanks to my mother for these photos. (These are one of her first trials pictures, but I think they are really good!)
Gap (did it!)
tap to rear wheel (did it after several tries)
Simple pedal hop
Pedal hop then gap... gap... gap (I did seven and got tired... )
Sidehop to rear wheel then gap... gap... (did 4 of them)
Thanks for looking!
I want to thank my mother who always supported me, my brother who pushed me, and all of you who made me discover a sport that I love and that I would not quit after one year (like other sport I made... )
EDIT: For those who will notice, my chain is not tensionned a lot, but that is how I ride, I feel like it gives me more spring! Btw, Gilles does the same (and got me into it...). And YES! I wear Spandex.
