  1. Looks awesome! Steel frames are the greatest! Give me a shout if you're ever up in Aberdeen
  2. This may be up for sale shortly, I'm not finding enough time to ride this and my bmx, also finding it hard to chop and change between each bike.
  3. My full new Inspired arrived on Friday, got it all built up same day, weather was gash so couldn't get out on it and was busy Saturday, got out on it today for my first wee sess, feels awesome, total different from my bmx though and not been on a trials bike for more than 2 years so needless to say I'm a bit rusty. I bought a hollow headset bolt but it does not fit the Echo Urban forks so going to sell them and get some Pashleys or maybe Curtis forks instead. Many thanks to the guys at Tarty Bikes for all there help and excellent service, appreciate it. Spec is as follows Echo Urban fork, Hope headset, Hope stem 90mm x 10 degree, Easton EA50 bars high rise, Hope pro 2 hubs front and rear built onto Trialtech hole rims with with Halo alloy nipples, DMR Moto Digger tyres, Trialtech cranks 170mm with 18tooth Trialtech sprocket and Trialtech Ti half guard, SKF bottom bracket, Trialtech 810 chain, Atomz chain tensioner, Avid BB7 185mm front disc brake, Avid SD7 rear vee brake with Inspired slim pads, Onza vee adaptor, Avid SD7 levers, Abikeco linear brake cables, Abikeco hamilton pedals, Abikeco cush seat, Inspired seat post and clamp
  4. Very nice, you can never go wrong with an all black bike. As for the bars/stem, if they feel good to you and you're happy, keep them! As the saying goes "Each their own"
  5. If all goes well I should have my bike tomorrow! So I'll no doubt have a wee sess at the weekend in Aberdeen, probably Sunday if anyone is going about?
  6. Found this on you tube, yeah the riding is a bit show off but still some awesome riding and awesome looking venue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnPzWRJvB1U
  7. I'll deffo be up for at as I'll have my Trials bike by then, ha need to get some practice in before then!!
  8. Sorry I never made it, I ended up having to work a long late shift. Hopefully be another meet soon. Should get my trials bike by the end of this week if not middle of next so I'll be keen to get out and about.
  9. Depends how long you've been riding, sometimes you just do your usual tricks/stunts etc because your comftable with that, not saying its not good what your doing but your just in your comfort zone. I'm 26, been riding trials and bmx since I was 14 and and don't go as mental as I used too, I just do the stuff that makes me happy and thats all that matters, having fun thats the main thing. I still try new tricks every so often or try hit lines I've done before differently.
  10. Foudn this, pretty smooth rider with Ryan Leech style
  11. Yeah change it to Sunday so I can make it, I'd love to come along even though I'll be on my bmx
  12. Super nice looking bike you got there! I'll be building one up myself when they come back in stock. What other chain tensioners have you run? I'm trying to decide between sprung or fixed. Have you tried a Rohloff sprung?
  13. Looks like I won't make it as I have to work on the 25th. Hopefully meet you all another time. At least I'll hopefully have my new trials bike at the next meet
  14. Yeah riding in the snow doesn't sound too great. Maybe worth going to the AECC and trying to find out who used to organise it/set it up? Anyone have any contacts there or know who used to organise it? Would be awesome to try get it going again for the winter months, they are closing in fast

    24" Fun

Found this on you tube and thought it was cool. Crash at end = nasty but lucky!
  16. Just wondering if there was any indoor trial parks in Scotland? Don't know if some of you may remember the trials park that was set-up in the Aberdeen Exhibition Conference Centre (AECC)?? Does it still get set-up sometimes or did it die out ages ago? Where do you guys ride when the bad weather comes? Snow/rain, do you just hibernate?
  17. FIT make really nice slim pivotal seats, Federal too. Take a look at 20twentystore
  18. Thats super nice looking! I have a spare set of Pashley stickers if you wish them? PM me
  19. I wouldn't mind coming along to meet some of you, I will be on my bmx though, not managed to sort myself out a trials bike yet. If any of you guys have a 24" trials bike I'd love a shot if possible? Bearing in mind I've not been on a trials bike coming up to 3 years! Scary!
  20. I'd really love to see vee brake mounts. You could use some bmx technology by adding removable brake mounts on the under side of the seat stays and have some 4 bolt mounts on the other side, similar idea to the 24uk. When I buy a frame I look for functionality and looks, if it has a feature I'm not going to use I won't buy the frame. for example: gyro/brake/cable mounts, I ride bmx brakeless so don't need all the mounts but recently removable gyro tabs, brake guides, cable guides etc have been made removable so it keeps the frame looking "clean" and "simple". I love vee brakes and think there are not enough trials frames in general (20"/24"/26") that can take vee brake unless you want to splash on a Curtis or Leeson. Well thats my 2p worth.
  21. We The People Q-lite hubs are really good. Again, only come in 14mm and ti axle available too. www.20twentystore.com
  22. Not a fan of pedal grinds at all. I may just build a normal trials bike, but also keep my bmx, too many choices haha What does everyone reckon? 20, 24 or 26" for me? Personally I'm swaying towards a 24" as Ive a bmx background and wish to have a proper seat........
  23. Hey dude, nice one. Doesn't look like I'll be getting the curtis though as I recieved an e-mail back saying they only make the T24 with vertical 10mm dropouts, which means I won't be able to run pegs. I'm still wanting to build a 24" up, possibly a 26", may even build a mod, need to have a think.
  24. Yeah thats a good video, seen it before. I really don't fancy having pegs on an aluminium frame thought, simply won't last!
