I know that sounds like teaching you to suck eggs but just double check. i spent forever trying to figure it out, only to realise i was missing a little shim thing. I poped the shim in and the headset is perfect now. Hope this helps

  11. Im originally from portavogie mate, easiest way to get validated is not to ask for it and read the guidelines. enjoy the forum

  15. Good evening men and women of the forum, I was thinking of making the holes in my rims square just to give my wheels a fresh look. What I want to know is how to do it and what tools etc to use, any and all help would be appreciated
  16. The garden is fenced of, and i didnt post this up here for people to comment on how silly it was to leave it in his garden for a while, just want to make people aware that a bike has been stolen in the area and possibly get it back
  17. Another sad turn of events. My mates bike was stolen from his garden last night in the Milton area of Inverness. It is a white onza rip, the spec is completely standard, the only way to distinguish it is by it haveing a grind on the rear wheel and a heatsinks sticker on the top tube. If anyone has any information on this pm me or text me on 07703050527, and i can pass any information to the police. thanks Rab
  18. i tryed a rather large hammer before and ended up with very bent cranks. but you are right in saying that large bangs make beautiful music
  19. Just a bit of friendly advice on getting ffw and screw on cogs of your cranks. Go to a motorcycle scrap yard and buy a broken fork leg (around £5) and use it for extra leverage over the crank arm. I looked around everywhere for a bit of pipe big enough to fit over my cranks and a fork leg is perfect. I know most people allready do have some kind of extra leverage, but I just thought i would stick this up here incase anyone has problems removing freewheels and cogs.
  20. text me on 07703050527 mate i may have a bike for you

  21. They would probably be ok, i just wouldnt do to many hooks or down to front if i was running them lol
  22. That bike would be fine for a complete beginner, but you will progress out of it rather quickly. Due to it having a 20 inch back wheel instead of a normal 19 inch one. I would keep my money and wait for some thing a little better. once you get validated you can get a look in the forsale section here and you will be able to get a decent bike. I do have a monty forsale but as the rules state you cant buy until you are a full member
  23. Just cut some material up and nearly lost half my pinky lol
  24. the effect has vee brake mounts so if you want to run a maggy you will have to use the evo2 kit. what problem are you having with the setup. But if you have dedicated vee mounts i would stick with a vee brake and just get some decent pads and cable.
  25. I found the rear was pretty crap to be honest, its heavy and doesnt give you much bounce, i run the 2.0 on the front and love it
